Rarely on our trips have we had hosts who were as friendly, courteous, and willing to spend time with us as were Diane and John. They were wonderful hosts in a B&B that is lovely on the inside and the outside. Our stay was one of the coldest and windiest that we've ever had in the British isles at this time of year, but the grounds and the views of the Dales were so pretty that we had to spend some time outside. Inside there was tea, wonderful breakfast, comfortable rooms, and pleasant conversation.

Thanks so much for your gracious hospitality!

We stayed for 3 nights and will definitely return. Diane & John are the best, and loveliest, hosts we've ever come across and their attention to detail is second to none. We could wax lyrical about the beautiful house, stunning location, superior breakfast and high standards but the best advise we can give is to go and experience it for yourselves- you won't be disappointed!

Crooklands is a beautiful house both outside and in. It is a haven of Peace and Tranquillity set in a sea of natural beauty. John and Diane are wonderful hosts and the breakfast is beautiful presented and the taste!!! The smoked bacon is "to die for"
I cannot recommend the place higher than the rating I have given but it deserves more.
A perfect place to set out from if you want to walk or just drive around. Set between Clapham and Ingleton which are two lovely villages. The recommended pubs for eating in the evening were good too.

We stayed at Crooklands for one night on our way to the Lake District and one night was definitely not long enough! Diane & John are perfect hosts and their B&B is a credit to them and we were made to feel extremely welcome. My husband has some mobility problems and after being out for our evening meal Diane was out with a torch straightaway to help us in the house which was most appreciated. The accommodation is superb and the views are just breathtaking, the breakfast was excellent with a really good choice - something for everyone!! We would love to return here at some time in the near future - can highly recommend!

Beautiful location fantastic views across the valley, well presented bedroom, very clean and tidy. However the best part of this guest house is the owners . Warm welcome, we arrived late and was offered tea ,coffee and biscuits in the cosy guest room. In the morning we were offered a great breakfast selection, the cooked breakfast was sourced locally and very tasty. The honey was very local from the owners own hives, we were treated to a visit down the garden to view the hives very interesting. We have little time off and cherish our time away, we look for places that we hope we will feel relaxed at and be well looked after, we were not disappointed, thank you for a lovely stay.
