Loads of open space, ideal for the family games to begin. We went on a very hot bank holiday and you can still find plenty of space to play. Children’s playground is more suitable for toddlers, but our 6 & 7 yr old still found apparatus to play on, and loved taking their shoes & socks off in the large sand pit. Queues moved quickly at the ice cream / snack bar, and there was good variety.

My daughter and I have just spent a lovely couple of hours in the Park with my Grandson who is 20 months old. We also had lunch at The Vinery. The food was lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. The price of the lunch was good value and served nicely. We are planning to go back again soon. I would recommend it as a local place to visit.

We stayed one night. The accommodation within the hall is excellent . Nice ceilings, carefully renovated, and modern decor to go with it. The dinning room has an old fire place.

Our room decor was excellent, and clean. If you wish to have the window open, beware of the passing aeroplanes, and there are lots of them! You are just under the flight path of Manchester Airport. On the down side, there was only a shower, no bath. The room had a superb safe. A coffee machine ( free), though you had to ask for milk. A well stocked minibar. No iron or trouser press. Wifi is good. Lots of plugs in the room for charging, and USB sockets.

The surrounding ground to the hotel are local authority and are a bit shabby.

We had excellent cocktails on the Terrace ( £11 each), both very nice combinations.

Breakfast was SLOW. Over an hour. It is waitress/waiter served. Tedious! There is no buffet type table. One glass of juice. I had porridge- of decent quality ( with honey, once they remembered- I was initially brought fruit), though served on the luke warm side. They ran out of vegetarian sausages! We had some potato thing instead.
There is insufficient butter on the table for a rack of toast- had to ask for more. Coffee was mediocre and eventually ran out whilst we waited... On the whole, the staff were willing.

Cost £203 for the room ( for 2), including a "full English breakfast".

We ate at the hotel restaurant ( Odd Fellows in the Park) the night before- it was rather lack lustre, and I will review that separately.

Such a nice place for kids in terms of a large play area and fields to run in...But the toilets are absolutely disgusting.

Hot tip...head to the cafe in the mai building for a coffee or ice cream and use their loo, not great toilets but much better and the outdoor seating area is great on a warm day.

It was a beautiful day in April and we decided it would be nice to have a trip to the park. Bruntwood park came to mind, So off we went to cheadle. Bruntwood is a spacious area with lots to do and see. There's a cafe and a restaurant within the grounds, also there is a hotel within the grounds too.
