“Best beach we visited”
Review of Nai Harn Beach

This beach is beautiful!
Compared to Karon we visited first I was so glad we visited Karon Beach!
There are people around yes. However, it i not overcrowded and you can easily find a quiet spot to relax.

There is a lovely sea breeze you get as well as some fantastic waves which are great fun! Just be aware the current can get very strong and can pull you out quite quickly, so be aware if you have children! A life jacket may be a good idea for young ones as the tides change VERY quickly!

We were advised to go to this beach; amazing; has to be one of if not the best on Phuket Island.
White sand
Pure blue sea
Not too busy
Restaurants near
It’s not anything like Patong beach!!!

Naiharn Beach is about one km long. It’s a tranquil spot and is far away from Phuket’s touristic areas. Many people come here to swim in the beautiful blue calm and warm water (perfect in high season from November to May). As it's so picturesque, the whole area is popular with joggers. A lap around the Nai Harn Lake with a leg including the whole length of the beach is around 2.5km (1.5 miles). In low season, you might find a good number of enthusiastic surfers riding the waves. At the south end of this beach there is a permanent sandbank that gives a good and often fast ride, even in the smallest swells. At the northern end there is a beach-and-reef break in the corner. This break can hold large swells and can at times get pretty potent. From May to October at the northern end of the beach, the waves are a little small for surfing but the perfect size for boogie boarding. Kids love to spend the whole day riding the waves in a relatively safe environment and it doesn't take long to learn.

All to the south of Phuket- Rawai you find the Nai Harm beaches. Low tide big sandy beach good if you have little kids. Some little old fashion Thai shops and restaurants with all kind food! Nice place to relax, no partying.

It is my 5th visit to Phuket, but it’s my 1st experience on this beach. The beach is divided into 2 parts separated with a small headland. It is extremely suitable for doing some snorkeling due to a great number of reefs and fish stocks. However, it might be bothersome as it is quite challenging to enter the sea without minor injuries especially during the low tide. Unfortunately, there are no sun-beds or parasols provided. Also the coastline is slightly polluted with some litter; this can be also found in the sea to the North of the beach.
