We’ve just returned and I can’t say better things about this resort. This beautiful and brand new resort catered to our every need. The staff was AMAZING, friendly, helpful, and always right there. The details:
Food is really very importantly to my family so let’s start there...there are 5 ala carte restaurants and 2? Buffets (only one was open while we were there as there were very few guests...COVID)
First, the buffet was wonderful for breakfast & lunch; plenty of selections set out in small offerings so they could be refreshed often. The staff served you for hygienic reasons and we really appreciated that. There were plenty of made to order stations; eggs/omelets, grill, crepes, and of course burritos and tacos...Alex, Rodger, Jorge, Matteo and (everyone) took great care to get us drinks, clear, chat a bit, in general make us feel welcome!
The ala carte restaurants all offer a small but decent selection of foods from their specific genre...Japanese/Hibachi, French, Italian, Mexican, Steak House, Seafood (we missed this one). Our favorite was Italian, we visited twice and tried everything on the menu; very well executed. Japanese, French, & Mexican we all very good; and we would have to put the steakhouse on the bottom of the list (but let’s face it, if you are an American Steak-Eater, and have done any traveling, you know the meats around the world aren’t the same; they’re just not). Giovanni, I believe his title was Chef Manager, showed up in ALL the restaurants...he checked in with every guest, made sure we were all happy, and what’s more, checked in with his staff, helping them out on the dining floor and even took up a grill station at the buffet. He truly cared about his guests and his craft. Bravo Giovanni and the entire food staff. Also shout out to Matteo the maitr’D and Matteo the server.
Entertainment...well, the entertainment staff did everything in their power to keep us all having fun all day long. Diana, Sheyla, Brandon, Marco, Andrea...it all starts with a friendly smile, and introduction, a c’mon and play...then your dancing in the middle of the pool! Super respectful of relaxation but if you needed to get up an move there were short, fun activities all day long from Zumba to Bingo to stretching...no judgement, just fun in the sun. The evening shows were nice, small and simple (but that’s another can’t help it, COVID thing) just enough entertainment to keep you engaged a bit as night fell.
And MOST IMPORTANTLY in today’s market, it was CLEAN. It’s brand new and still getting some details finished everyday and Maintainance all day long. We felt SAFE. In 7 days I never saw a staff member remove their mask, most wore masks and shields. Constant wiping, cleaning, sanitizing... upon entering every building or restaurant you are greeted with hand sanitizer and sanitizing mats to walk over. Restaurant seating was spacious. Guests too were respectful of mask mandate and social distance.
In all, we can’t wait to go back! Bravo Majestic!!!
