It's a RIPPED OFF

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Apr 15, 2017via mobile
Booking on this resort is already a headache no one is answering the phone. It's only the beach that is worth it on this place. The rooms was horrible you can say it's very cheap when it comes to pricing but they will gonna rip you off when it comes to the meals. Yeah it was a "BUFFET" but it's a very typical cheap COLD selections in there. You have to down on a steep stairs just to get to your room and no one is there to help you carry out your stuff(what a service)..If you want to be pricey renovate your rooms use better beds and sheets and don't obligate people to pay on your cheap buffet. Your strictness doesn't matches your place. Your place has a lot to offer and can be improved if you have a better management.

there is a separate fee for the room and it is 1500 per person additional for the food. no need to bring any baon, you will be fed 4 times per person- lunch when you arrive, 3pm snack, 6pm dinner and breakfast the following day before you leave- all buffet. I think i overate, too much food. fruits, juices, coffee, dishes, i particularly loved the buffet breakfast- both american and filipino favorites.

rod trip via slex was fine, smooth, no traffic at all. we came on a sunday and that will be the best time to go, avoid the weekends, the resort will be full, lines at the buffet will be crazy as it can accommodate at least
a couple thousand. that would be scary scenario if like me you abhor the crowds.

booking was no problem via internet. there will be a long flight of stairs going down to the beach from the entrance lobby. but elderly guests, guests with disabilities, pregnant or with children are allowed to take the car and drive down to the entrance at the beach itself, otherwise, everybody else take the stairs. rooms are ok, decent with aircon, working shower or showers for the family rooms, ours had a loft for the teens.

the beach was well maintained, i mean the shore is clean, no garbage. clear clean waters. they have a reef preservation right near the shore. the good side is that it is a haven for fishes- we fed a swarm with bread that you can ask for from the restaurant- the ends of the loaves. they eat right from your hands unafraid- too bad we didnt bring a go pro- be sure to bring one to take photos or videos. also bring snorkels to look at the beautifully colored and huge fishes underwater. and its all waist or chest deep midday. most of all bring those swim shoes as the reef has sharp edges, so if bare foot- tread with extreme caution.

thank God, no karaoke. bad side is no night swimming, whaaaaat???? we wanted to maximize swimming time but couldnt bcos of this..... well just wake up early then, but still, night swimming would have been de rigueur

This is the 4th visit of our family here. Lots of improvement, or rather, structural improvement making the beach side crowded and dimmed. The food on our first day was horrible, imagine egg, hot dogs and dried fish for breakfast. It pickup and improved during the weekend when guests started to arrived. Great just to stay and relax in the cabanas. Our bath has a slight leak somewhere which we didn't bother to get fix. Wifi was really weak next to non-existent. Hope management can improve on this. Staff were however courteous and always smiling.

Room tip: Get the room on the ground floor ;)

We booked this resort for a quick family trip with our dog. We were 4 adults in the group and we chose to stay at the Premier Loft to ensure a more comfortable stay. It had a double bed, 4 single beds, and 1 pull out so we had more space than what we needed. The room was reasonably clean but there is only 1 toilet and bath in the room so it can get heavy traffic if all the beds are occupied.
The beach had a lot of seaweed debris during the afternoon we went there. It was completely different though the morning after because the water was then calm and clear. Swimming was way better in the morning.
Their staff are all polite and helpful.
The real downside of staying here is the food. It is mandatory to avail of their full board meals, and there's corkage for anything aside from chips and sandwiches. It would have been fine if the food they served is tasty, but I find the food quality below average. The only great meal is the merienda so don't expect much from anything else.

not a bad place. but if you expect european standard then this is not the place. staff is very friendly and they make an effort. but for my taste they can do more with regards to keeping the resort clean. didn't like the venous snake but looking around i was not surprised with all the uncleaned green areas. beach, rough sand and when you walk on it its pretty painful if walking barefeet. without being disrespectful towards the filipinos, its more a filipino resort and yes, you can have a lot of fun especially when coming with larger groups. not a place for handicap people due to steep steps going down to the main area.

It was a recent family trip that turned out not to be a very good experience for many reasons.

1. They follow an 'old' and 'new' rate on food buffet which is a difference of 300php. It's okay to increase pricing but we were not told of that to begin with. And the difference in food selection is quite significant. So we had to request for upgrade on site but first meal has already been taken.

2. Rooms are small. If they say they can take up to 6 pax a room, do not believe that. It'll be too crowded. The actual capacity is in reality the maximum capacity.

3. Power went out for at least 3 times at night.

4. Water supply was TERRIBLE. Toilet flush wasn't working for both premiere rooms we booked and we had to call maintenance.

Overall, the place is supposed to be great to relax because the scenery is great and the beach is pretty clean. The resort though is a different story. Won't come back. It has gone from great to worst in a span of 10 years.
