Please don't waste your hard earned money on this hotel. It is not even close to a 2 star. Can't get a refund not even a cent. Everything they advertise is a lie. Horrible horrible horrible. Rather pitch a tent across the road in the park.
Fitness cent has 1 treadmill and that's it. Don't stay here

This was the best experience I have ever had thus far and My Gf agrees.. The service was nothing but excellent, the staff was always at hand to offer assistance regarding any questions, hotel related or not... The manageress Kate was awesome, the security guard was always there to assist in anyway possible... The staff always smiled...Breakfast was more than abundant and many, many options.. Would definately recommend this place to anyone wanting to use it as a base to tour Phuket and I myself plan on going back there over and over...

5* rating many times over.. Thx, Kate and all the staff for an amazing time. Xoxo Olivia and Zahir Room 409

Stayed here for 10 days, as a group of 4 friends. The manageress Kate is exceptionaly good at her job as well as the night time managers. The view of the sea is a bit of a bummer as palm streets are overgrown and blocking sea view. The rooms are nice and clean, think they could upgrade on the quality of their toilet paper. The food choices are minimal at breakfast and other meals and drinks are overpriced forcing guests to eat out of the hotel. Due to pool renovations we were grateful that they allowed us access to the spa pool. The security guy at the gate is the bomb. Never fails to greet with a smile and direct the traffic for guests to cross the road. Our overall stay was good and every single one of the staff were outstanding in their service. I recommend this hotel anyday and sure will be coming back. A mighty big thanks to all who made our stay such a pleasant one

We lasted 3 nights out of a 8 night planned stay.

Upon arrival we were just checked in by a very faint speaking lady, I'm sure she was helpful - we just couldn't hear/understand what she was saying properly.

We stayed in a seafront delux room, true to its name we were facing the sea - it was just a shame that we couldn't see the sea as there were palm trees in the way. We found the room very old fashioned and grubby, everything I touched was sticky.

Walking around the hotel we discovered that they were having some sort of refub. There was a bath tub in the hall way, planks of wood with nails sticking out! There was a plastic lining on the floor down one hallway with nails scattered access it. Everywhere was just dirty, dirty floors covered with leaves and the walls are well over due a paint. I understand maintenance has to be done but perhaps if we were given the heads up 1) we wouldn't be so put off or 2) we wouldn't have stayed here!

We was advised that there may be some noise (because the floor was being cleaned) between 9am and 6pm (well they wasn't sure when it would finish - anytime from 5pm to 7pm.) We woke up to some very loud drilling and banging about - this was not due to the floors being cleaned! How is anyone supposed to enjoy their holiday and relax with all this going on? And again, if we knew this was going on we definitely wouldn't have stayed here! There is a cupboard or something next to our room, all we could hear for around 30 minutes this morning was gushing water. My partner ran into the bathroom as he thought we had a leak or the shower had come on! I looked outside and a man was doing something in the cupboard.

We asked to change rooms due to the points above (it being disgusting, the maintenance and the noise) the quite spoken lady advised that it would cost an extra 500-1000bht per night! I personally don't see how any of that is our fault? So why should we pay the extra.

We are unable to go in the pools due to all the leaves and dirt. Also the pool bar hasn't been open at all during our stay.

In the hotel visitors book it states that we are unable to bring any food from the outside in here. So for example;

A can of Coke
14bht from 7/11
30/50bht from any place to eat or drink
70bht from this hotel

Chang beer
120bht (give or take a little) for a LARGE bottle (620ml) from bars and around 70/80bht to buy from shops
130bht for a small can (320ml) from this hotel

The prices aren't even competitive! I also read a review saying that the price list is old so we could possibly be charged more!

This will be our third week travelling in Thailand. We stayed at the rembrant in Bangkok for 5 nights, that was amazing, I have no reason to fault it. We were due to stay at la playa resort in krabi for 7 nights but due to it being under maintenance we got moved to a hotel (the small) across the road for no additional charge (it was a more expensive hotel) we also received 2 hours for both my partner and I in the spa and a free evening meal. We are meant to be in this hotel for 8 nights and at the moment I am feeling that it's going to ruin our holiday. I could have stayed on a building site for less money and the same service. As it's the rainy season here we intended to spend a little more time in our hotel as usual.

In the hotels prior to this one during our stay in Thailand the following were provided; toothbrushes, toothpaste, conditioner, body lotion, iron and ironing board. They were all at the same rating here or there as this hotel, but this hotel offers hardly anything what so ever.

We have spoken with the manager and expressed our concerns. We didn't get much of a response or an apology. We were moved into a pool access room. It's ok, we can obviously access the pool, there are some chairs and a table for us to sit on, the bed is bigger. The bathroom however is absolutely disgusting (see images attached.) We felt dirty getting out of the shower - there is mouldy and dirt everywhere. The air con is basically non existent and turns it self on and off - leaving us in a puddle of sweat during the night. We can't be bothered to keep complaining and keep moving rooms, we are supposed to be chilling out on holiday!

Due to our air con turning on and off, we were unable to sleep as it was far too hot. We called reception - no one answered. We went down to reception - no one was there. This was at 03:15 Saturday 23rd. And again, the following night the air con turned itself off, what really is the point?

The day after we moved rooms we realised that we have been relocated right under the construction, you would think the manager would have some common sense! On the Saturday mid afternoon we came back to our room as my partner felt unwell. He was unable to sleep or relax due to the noise above. We couldn't hear the tv nor could we hear each other talk. I spoke to the manager yet again regarding this as she basically just said that we chose this room - which is correct, however there was no noise at the time we moved also we assumed that the staff here would use some common sense and move us away from what we were complaining about. The manager here should probably go for some people skill training or a problem solving course, during our conversation she was telling us we need to pay for our stay (we never said or implied that we wasn't.) I had to repeatedly ask why our travel agent wasn't made aware of the construction, she failed to acknowledge my question. She didn't acknowledged any of my queries or concerns, what an absolute waste time she is.

Our travel agent has been communicating with the hotel. They have agreed to move us to the 4th floor, a family room I think with a double bed and a single. It was nice and spacious and possibly the cleanest area I've seen since we have been here. We could still hear the noise very loudly, instead of being underneath the maintenance that room is on top of it! If only they had told our agents about the construction, we could have dealt with the issue prior to arriving instead of potentially being moved to 3 different rooms.

The hotel is located very close to the main road so not only can we hear the construction most of the day, we can hear the tuk tuks and their loud music most of the night.

Every question, query and service we was after was made difficult by the staff due to the huge lack of English skills. Each time I called someone I would get passed to 3 or 4 different people till one person could understand me, it was very frustrating. We went out of our way to help ourselves to avoid speaking to them - not in a rude way but it was just easier for us.

We ordered a margarita pizza to the room, it was absolutely disgusting - I don't know how you manage to get a margarita pizza wrong! On the room service menu it was priced at 260bht but when it came to pay it cost 280bht - it's a good idea to check how much something is before you place your order. When I questioned this the manager just slammed the receipt on the desk in front of me.

The breakfast here is ok, I'd give it 6.5/10. Not a huge selection but enough selection to have a varied breakfast during a short stay. The seating area is a little poor, needs a little maintenance. It's lovely to sit out there on a nice day. The eggs are always cooked to perfection!

The security guard was brilliant, every time we saw him he would smile and wave, he would assist us across the road without us having to ask. He went well above and beyond, what a lovely man! As we were leaving he ran up the stairs to take my luggage from me and carried it down for me. Possibly the most helpful member of staff here!

Due to all of the inconvenience we have been put through we have basically lost three days of our holiday and have spent money on transfers and costs for amending the excursions we had booked prior. We have had to move rooms twice, having to take time from our schedule to speak to the manager, having endless conversations with our travel agent and now we are having to waste a whole day transferring hotels!

Our travel agents have been brilliant, I can't fault them at all! They have been very attentive and extremely helpful. They couldn't do enough to resolve our problem!

We have been advised by our travel agent that this hotel had not declared any maintenance which is against protocol.

I would not recommend nor would I returned to this hotel. The manager and this establishment is a joke. I am very disappointed with the room and the service we have received. This place is a building site, I have never know anything like it. I've never stayed anywhere as bad as this! I checked all the reviews on Facebook and trip advisor before we arrived and I can not believe how many and/or why it got so many good reviews.

We have moved to the iKon hotel, it's beautiful - I wish we had moved sooner!

We arrived on 24 August for a stay of 7 nights. From the moment we checked in to our checkout - I'm writing this from the pool area where I'm soaking up the last hours of Thai sun before heading back home - I have enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

The hotel staff make the difference between being an average hotel to being a great one and I am so sorry to be leaving here. The room attendant, pool and restaurant staff were really attentive yet unobtrusive and eager to please. The understanding of Engish is a little limited but if you speak slowly and simply, you are understood. I must make mention here of the security guard st the front of the hotel - big smile, helpful st all times to ensure that we crossed the road safely and personal greeting every morning , really summarized the attitude of the staff.

I came to Phuket to celebrate my birthday here and after arriving at night on the 24th, went down to breakfast on the 25th where I was presented with a birthday 'cake' of half a hollowed out pineapple filled with fruit salad and ice cream and topped with a cherry and 3 candles! What a great touch!
I went out for the day and came back to find my bed decorated with two little towel art elephants and the words 'happy birthday' spelled out by the room attendant!

The rooms are a good size with tile floors and a sliding door onto the small patio. Small fridge with minibar items and tea/coffee making facilities available. Note to diabetics: bring sweeteners from the restaurant or bring your own as only sugar is provided in the rooms.

The bathroom has a shower - decent size - with a spray hose, basin and toilet. Hot water is immediately available and the shower gel and shampoo smell great! The air con had to be repaired on two separate occasions, but on reporting it, it was sorted out really quickly.

The beds are probably best described as super king sized and pretty comfortable! There is a safe in the room albeit a smallish one - my partners laptop could not fit inside it but it is great for valuables otherwise.

The pool is really unusual and a great feature as e it curves along the front of the rooms. Only 1.4 meters deep, it is not meant for diving, splashing and cavorting but genteel and sedate dips as the front ground floor rooms open onto the pool. You are not allowed to use the pool after 9pm for the same reason and this consideration is appreciated by thr guests occupying those rooms.

The pool bar serves a two for one special from 4-6pm provided you order the same drink. The pool bar attendants Tho and Pon are really cool and great to deal with. We joked with them that there was no music at the pool and the next evening, they winked and smiled at us and brought the sound system through each night we were there!

Oh yes, and DO give the restaurant a try in the evening. The food is really tasty and good value for money and the manager, Non, is really centred on customer service. Yes I know some reviewers say its pricey compared to buying on the street but I found it exceptionally good value and saved me dying from the heat and going into town! They even brought us our own fan during the meal to stay cool.

We really don't want to leave and are quite depressed at the thought. We've had a great stay here and oh boy, we'll be back!

It really is great value for money and more than adequate for the tourist who appreciates good amenities and great service.
