Karon beach is across the road from the hotel is the best attraction in the area. Although it's too choppy to swim in, on a sunny day it's a beautiful location to relax. The rest of Karon, and to be honest Phucket itself, is let down by poor restaurants and an overabundance of seedy bars and unfriendly Russian tourists. The Bann Sailom hotel is actually one of the nicest parts of this area, with a good pool area and well presented and spacious rooms. If you do choose to visit Karon then this is a great place to stay, just don't go expecting much from the area itself.

We caught a taxi for 300 from Patong beach. The rooms are lovely and clean and spacious. The pool is good too. My Way bar is awesome. ..We ran back to the hotel to use the toilet. Mama and Noi are so friendly at the bar. Mama's son took us in his taxi to Big Buddha and then to old Phuket town. We paid 2000 and he was going to stop wherever we wanted. Great area. Great beach. Massive waves

Was really lucky to find this hotel, super friendly staff , never hard sell anything, help me to print out our ferry ticket for free, all good advice on food, day trip and stuff, very nice pool inside - and attached to a restaurant that operates daily from 9am to 10pm - really good thai food btw
Hotel is also super located with beach 1 min walk from the hotel, plus tons of restaurants, food stalls, shops, massage places - at budget price!!! I will for sure be back 😛👍🤓

I read the reviews before booking this hotel and on a whole they didn't disappoint. The staff were all very polite helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant a lot during our stay and found the food to be as good as you will find anywhere the prices were reasonable the beer was cold they also have an air-con section which was a blessing. The location was excellent everything within walking distance in both directions. My only negative was our room we had a superior room in what was the original building it wasn't superior and we had to climb two rather steep sets of stairs to reach our room it was small and the air-con just adequate our shower was only useable as a hand held as the shower head was on the side wall with no room to get under it . 2 of our party were in the newer building a deluxe which was cheaper larger and with good air-con also a lift to all floors so I would recommend you request building B not A my partner and I are older so found the stairs a chore. Breakfast is ordinary and nearly always cold but we still managed to eat something most mornings. We had a lovely time at the hotel on a whole the pool was nice and clean and mostly quiet we had a good holiday and would probably return in the future. It is quite pricey though for what it is you could probably get a better deal in a bigger hotel.

Room tip: Ask for building B more modern and with a lift better air-con.

This is a much smaller hotel than those right on the beach front but it's a great place and still only 2 mins walk from Karon beach and right by the spot where you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas.

Stayed in a deluxe sea view room on the top floor which was definitely worth the extra money as the view was a full sea view and the balcony although small was a great place to relax in the middle of the day when the sun was very hot. Note: other rooms lower down would only have a view of the wall surrounding the hotel next door.

Room clean, bright and airy with some interesting artwork on the wall. No bath but a nice big shower. Hot water did take a time to come through on some days.

We had breakfast included and this was in the restaurant at the front of the hotel. Standard fare of bacon, eggs and bread along with a couple of thai options and some days there were also pancakes and other pastries. Not the best breakfast choice I've had in Thailand but fine for the few days we were there. The restaurant is open all day and was very popular over lunch and dinner time and the salads were good value. If staying at the hotel you get a discount too.

As mentioned above the location is great for the beach and there are also plenty of stalls and supermarkets on the doorstep. The start of the Kata beach area is also only around a 10 minute walk away. It is around a 25 minute walk to the other end of Karon beach and beware taxis/tuk tuks are not cheap and all charge a standard fare for travel to other areas of Phuket. Also not a lot of drivers are aware of this hotel so it helps to have a map with the road on it or tell them you are staying at the larger hotel next door!

Would definitely recommend to others, especially if you prefer a smaller, more traditional style guesthouse rather than a large hotel.

Room tip: If you can book a sea view room on the 4th floor
