We stayed here for 12nights and my favourite part of the day was dinner time! We loved the Chilli Mussels, the Garlic Prawns, the Santo Beef with Mushroom/Pepper sauce, and the delicious 'poulet' fish! Doreen the cook was fantastic, and Cam the chef/manager amazed us with his duck and pork belly creations! The views and service are just sensational!

We just wanted to say thank you to Jus and Cam for the most wonderful holiday at Moyyan and the delicious food at their restaurant Espiritu House. So glad we took the food and accommodation package. We have holidayed in Vanuatu before and found that the food prices really added up. The entertainment was a bonus and the view to die for. All in all....top marks all round and especially to the local staff who are the most charming, lovely people.

The location of this restaurant (part of the Moyyen House by the Sea resort) is absolutely stunning.

We had lunch here a couple of times, and personally i think coming for lunch is better than dinner, because you get to look at the stunning blue bay from the lovely decking area. In fact sitting there until sunset to move onto a glass of wine was even better.

The lunch menu was varied and had some choices at a reasonable price, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We looked at the evening menu, which looked absolutely delicious, but we couldn't afford the prices, everything started at 3000 vatu upwards at least per dish.

We were able to appreciate this beautiful place at the lunch time prices, and presume that the people lucky enough to stay at this resort would also be able to enjoy the evening dinner prices too. Or if this is your kind of budget then it makes for an excellent special night.

For us it was a bus back to Luganville town centre, to enjoy the excellent Jardin des Saveurs for an evening meal.

Hi Antibes,
Thank you for a wonderful review! It is always a suprise and pleasure to find these types of comments as you search around Tripadvisor.

The photographs of Moyyan Beach are amazing, a wonderful touch..

Just for a little clarification on our Dinner Menu - Our appetisers start at 850vatu and do not exceed 1500vatu
(fresh oysters an exception at $20 a dozen) - we usually have 3-4 of these a night.
Our Main meals average at 2700vatu ($25)- 3500vatu($34)

One example of a more expensive dish is our 3500vatu Reef and Beef. This is a HUGE steak cooked to your liking upon a kumula mash and loaded on top with prawns, calamari, oysters, poulet fish, crab, lobster then bound in a garlic cream sauce, for the quality of our chefs and the freshness of the beef, the stack of fresh seafood and service we provide by candlelight on the beach - We feel it is a bargain!

We most certainly have never had a menu out without the above inclusions - so we are concerned that you (or any other guest) may be under the same impression regarding our pricing - we will definitely be addressing this issue (Perhaps back to printed menus instead of Blackboard) will keep you posted!

But like you said, I feel we are the perfect place for a special occassion or for guests who have discerning tastes for fine food and wine.

I have read all of your restaurant reviews and feel they are very acurate and give an excellent overview of Santo Dining.
Kind Regards,

What a fantastic chef and atmosphere very relaxed great food and good service. I ordered the banana wrapped in chicken and was quite dubious only to be pleasantly surprised it was beautiful!!!!

The outdoor deck and lighting in the trees is just lovely and the staff work so hard to make you feel like you are eating on your own deck at home with a hatted chef invited over!

Thank you to all for the wonderful meals and attention we have had each time we have dined at the restaurant
