My wife,7mth old and 3 year old and I camped in the walled garden for 4 nights over Easter.

It is pretty chilly at night at this time of year so of your thinking of camping out make sure you bring good quality 3 season sleeping bags and sleep pads.

We had an amazing time including an Easter egg hunt around the garden.

The walled garden is ideal for families with younger children as it is right beside The Hub.

There is also wild camping available in the woods or safari tents if you like your camping with a bit of glamour thrown in.

The manager Alisdair could not have been more helpful and runs a tight ship, the place is spotless!

Will definitely be returning.

Just returned from a night "wild camping"

1st time weve been to this venue and was impressed with the experience. Lovely piece, quiet and barbeque.

Red Squirrel lodge for the perfect 'get away from it all' break. So so peaceful and relaxing with deer and other wildlife all around. Camp fire and solitude of an evening but still with a warm comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. Brilliant walking opportunities whilst within fairly easy driving distance from the beautiful Northumberland coast.

Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. A must for all those who want to leave their hectic everyday lives behind for a short while.

Thank you so much Dave and Wendy Queen

We spent a wild night snuggled up in our new ex army tent yesterday. This is one of our favourite camps sites - for simple reasons; perfectly situated in a beautiful location, great walks on your doorstep, always spotless, hot showers and water available and great kitchen facilities, very well maintained by manager, Alisdair.
Can't beat this place, within a short walk over to a smasher of an Italian restaurant in Denholm.
Really- what more do you need???

Just returned from our annual lads weekend camping & ruberslaw was excellent in every way yet again..we purposefully go late on the year to avoid the crowds & hordes of kids.
The weather was a bit wild but this didn't stop us climbing ruberslaw hill which has fantastic views over the area..then it was onto fat lips castle which is highly recommended..£5 for a key at the garage in the village & the tower is yours to explore..
The site is spotlessly clean & well run..we cooked in the hub as this had everything we needed.
If your after a lovely quiet picturesque site this is for you..if you have loads of noisy spoilt kids who can't entertain themselves without parks, swings & alike then please go somewhere else ;-)
