Great cocktails, and lovely seafood starter. Steak was a little over cooked unfortunately. Good service and saw some great seafood platters coming out. Would recommend for the seafood, but not the steak.

We visited this restaurant on a couple of our days while on holiday in Noosaville.
The service was excellent and the ‘Seafood chowder is the best we have had in many years. We will return in February next year and if we can force ourselves to try an alternative we might try another fish or steak dish as they all looked very good on other customers tables.

We dined at Maisie's restaurant at the recommendation of friends who had visited a year or so ago. Two of us had the oven baked barramundi coated in macadamia crumb with kipfler potatoes and water cress salad. The barramundi and potatoes were delicious and no complaints there but the salad was a mesclun mix and not watercress. One other ordered pan fried snapper which was over cooked and dry and the fourth person had the grilled reef fish which was also dry and unappetising. The snapper was sent back and another piece of snapper was cooked and delivered to the table well after we finished our fish meals. The cost of the snapper and reef fish were well into the late $30.00's but were served with chips and salad which is disappointing. We took a bottle of wine which wasn't opened as we decided to buy a bottle at the restaurant, but we were then charged corkage for that one plus $3.00 corkage each for two bottles of beer that were byo. So $9.00 corkage for two bottles of beer was not appreciated. The wait staff are young and don't really seem confident with knowledge of the menu which is frustrating. On checking the bill more carefully the next day, I discovered that we were charged for the meal that was sent back even though the owner came over and told us the fish served to us the first time was not good enough. Overall even though two of us enjoyed our meals, it was disappointing for the two others who had less than satisfactory meals. It was an expensive evening but not really an enjoyable dining experience.

We have consistently dined at Maisie's every year during our Noosa Winter break. Our favourite meal had to be the luncheon seafood platter for two. Absolutely delish! A huge meal we never completed (size) but devoured with gusto. We were told the restaurant had changed hands after so many years. Decided, if our favourite lunch dish is not acceptable, our dining days at Maisie's were concluded. Imagine our horror when the fried (and dried) seafood arrived including fish sticks! Fresh prawns were abysmal, oysters tiny in size. Was there a minuscule portion of tomato in the salad? Why alter a great meal?

First visit since new owners and disappointed. Booked to sit inside as night was cool but was seated in front of open doorway and it was unpleasantly cold. Asked if there was another table away from the doorway but told nothing available. Less than welcoming arrival as they were busy and took awhile to ask name of booking and point in direction of table before rushing away again. During the visit one other table was waving arms around for awhile to gain some attention as they delivered their meal and didn’t give them any cutlery.
We had three in our party the Barramundi was good but two of us had seafood chowder which was served luke warm at best and not much taste and way too thick. Not an
enjoyable dish. Our other mixed seafood dish was less than exciting.
