This was our first holiday to the Seychelles and the le Domaine was our second hotel, having spent our first week on Mahe at the Fisherman's Cove Hotel. The Le Domaine is a very pleasant hotel and the staff (apart from one guy cooking pancakes who was always grumpy) where very nice and helpful. We did have an unfortunate incident on our second night, our room was broken into, however nothing was taken. The security staff and management were brilliant about the whole episode and promptly moved us to an upgraded room. The only down side to the hotel was the food. When booking I was led to believe there was an a la carte option as well as the buffet option but this was not so, only buffet, which was not that great to be honest. There was also a major problem with birds, who where always there to help you out with your meal!!!!
It was slightly worrying when, on arrival the check in staff recommend other local restaurants and free transport to them. If they sort their own food out and have an a la carte menu this would not be necessary, as it was we had 3 meals at the La Pirogue Restaurant in the village which was excellent.More
