Everything that you would expect from a Pousada. An impressive building by any standard. It has been cleverly remodelled as a hotel without destroying original features. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The views are spectacular. The ground and public spaces are impressive, but also welcoming.
The restaurant is housed in the old monastery kitchen. A magnificent dining experience added to by very good food. The kid with rice was exceptional. However leave space for the buffet desert table, diet can start tomorrow. A huge choice all of it delectable.
The bill as expected is at least twice the Portuguese average.More
