I have had the pleasure of staying at Calheta Boutique houses for a few weeks, and I wish it would have been for even longer. The boutique houses (I stayed at "Rosa") that owners Anne & Dave created - or better: designed - are so lovely and comfy that you will feel at home away from home immediately. And yet, the style is super modern, and you can tell that every little piece of furniture and decoration was chosen with attention to detail. On top, you get superb sea views, a heated pool with a cozy space to relax and a bbq spot.

Anne & Dave are super nice and supportive when it comes to giving advice of things to do on the island and fun to have a chat with over a glass of red (or home made poncha, if you are lucky).

The location of the houses in Arco da Calheta is fantastic, too. A nice mixture of being in a local village with great little snack bars around and a gym just a few minutes by foot from the property; and all shops you may need are just a short drive away in "Calheta downtown", which also features one of the few sandy beaches in Madeira, a great sea promenade for walks and a little marina with restaurants. Funchal is a half hour drive away.

Overall, great place! Absolutely recommend it.
