Mr. Wiesner bills himself as a Hexer or Wizard and conceives extremely well-thought out meals based on themes. This time it was all around a story involving a Citroen HY truck and an accident.Iit began with an aperitif in the "garage" with cheese, ham and one of his homemade sausages (his father's business) and then in the dining room simplyu the finest tartare ever eaten, cut up in front of you in a grinder. it was venison.
after that some local char (Saibling, omble chevalier) tartare as always with a host of original and tasty garnishes. We opted for the wine pairing which consisted of all magnificent Swiss wines, served by full, half or even quarter glasses. There is in fact much humour also in this restaurant.
The cheese course is impressive indeed, being all local and serving cheeses as old as SEVEN years, plus a host of condiments that were outstanding Then we have the desserts and local kirsch etc. We paid about 1050 CHF for four people for all that.
You can order a room at a neighboring farm/chalet for 60 CHF/person which we did and enjoyed. they pick you up at the hotel and lodge you and serve a big bre"akfast and then drive you back down to your car. A wonderful experience.
