Owner description: Brighton Farmers Market is a locally owned and operated marketed, open every Saturday morning from 6am – 10am, come rain or shine. Here you will find a wide variety of fresh local produce at very reasonable prices. There is loads to eat for breakfast and to take home for lunch. Lovely “tiki” pies, freshly prepared fish’n bake, omlettes, waffles and most importantly “Pilebucks” Coffee. Many stall holders also sell local art, photographs, jewelry, baskets, plants, wood work, soaps and much more... Brighton Farmers Market has been running for over 10 years, with a welcoming friendly atmosphere, and has turned into a Saturday morning gathering place for locals and visitors alike. There are picnic tables under the shade of the flamboyant tree for you to sit, relax, catch up with old friends or make new ones and enjoy some of our scrumptious breakfast treats and freshly brewed coffees. See you Saturday.

Arrive early!!! Great atmosphere, friendly vibe, and hands-down best breakfast on the island! Get there early to enjoy local crafts and fresh veggies - all while getting to know the friendly Bajans who frequent the market. This is a must-see for anyone looking to find the real Barbados beyond the beaches.

This is such a great thing to do on a Saturday morning but you need to get there early, it starts at 7.00 there are lots of different stalls selling delicious food for breakfast, I always go for the fish in a bun just as you go in on the right. $8 beds and worth every penny. Freshly cooked and so moist. Then pick up a proper coffee and sit and enjoy a chat, probably with locals. There are also lots of stalls selling local crafts and a vegetable and flower market too.

A MUST SEE for everyone living in or visiting Barbados! The idea of buying FRESH, HEALTHY and neatly packaged fruit & vegetables from the very farm that it is grown on, is a wonderful peace-of-mind for my husband and I as expats. The market has plenty to offer with many unique and really special gift items that you will not find anywhere else on the island. When you have done your shopping you can order a cappuccino or waffle with cream and sit on the shaded benches and enjoy the bustling families and incredibly friendly people of all ages. Very enjoyable!

We have regularly visited this Farmers Market for over 10 years, not every Saturday but 3 or 4 times per year. It is run by the Pile family of St Georges and they specialise in their excellent Pilebucks coffee, among other things. The venue is an old sugar plantation and factory, beautifully constructed of Coral a couple of hundred years ago, but modernised in its functions. It is on a breezy hillside with great rural views. There is ample off road parking. Starts about 630 am every Saturday, so don't be late. Sunrise is about 6 am and after 10 am it is going to get warm. There is ample shade created by enormous old trees as well as the market structures, some permanent some transportable. We always bump into familiar friends. We start off with their excellent coffee, there is a decent queue but there are far worse places to stand in line.
While I am collecting the coffee my wife goes around the family run fresh produce stalls. Every kind of locally grown fruit and veg in their seasons, which are most of the time. Also free range eggs and dairy products. Load into the car and visit the various stalls serving a good selection of freshly prepared breakfast items, all excellent value, 5 to 10 US dollars per portion. There are a number of tables and benches under the trees for eating. There are good toilet facilities near the House. Many other stalls of the type that ladies in particular delight in. All locally produced arts and crafts, and there are stalls selling fresh breads and pastries. The Market is one of the highlights of the island.
