Firstly the view of Kanchenjunga range is fabulous from the rooms,the staff is cooperative and helpful.quality of service is commendable according to cost.it is a great experience to b there.middle pelling at its best

Location is good. The hospitality is very very very poor. We had to chase many times for even drinking water in rooms. Behavior of the staff is worst. They demand that they give geyser facility from 6am to 8 am. They maintain switch off time very regularly but forget to switch on in time every day. Last day, we packed our breakfast (8 nos) and it was really half amount i.e. 4 nos. breakfast packed in 8 packets. Many more bad experience is associated with this hotel.

The last hotel probably in the upper pelling as the road goes down to middle pelling, the hotel looks average from the outside but the rooms are very well decorated and spacious, with views to Mt. Kanchendzonga from the bed.

Room tip: Just ask for view rooms, they got a couple on each floor...

We stayed in this hotel during May 2016. The hotel locations is good and ambiance is also good. However, the rooms' cleanliness and maintenance is below acceptable level. Service: unfortunately not even towels were supplied during that time but hotel charged more than normal rates. Manager Mr Uday is nice and informative. Food is reasonable. No breakfast. PS: never take rooms of ground floor, 111, 112; just like dirty.

Room tip: nevel accept first or ground floor rooms! Very bad ones.

My family stayed here from 25th to 27th May '16.During this time we received very minimum services from the staffs.We not even received towels at the time of check in. We also requested to switch on the geyser at evening , but they showed a don't care attitude. Moreover , the manager rudely behaved with us when we asked for bed tea.We stayed at many hotels in Darjeeling, Kalimpong , Dooars , Shillong , Gangtok , Puri but according to me "Golden Ice" is the worst hotel in hospitality.
