We went to Dakak this June 2019. The road getting here is quite elevated so be sure your vehicle can cope up with the heights. Upon arrival at Dakak it has closed/guarded gate but just tell them that you will have a Day tour. Dakak resort lacks signages where to register and do inquiries. You have to be sensible in the directions or your lucky if you found some staffs roaming around so you could ask. Upon arrival at the information you have to pay entrance fee (for day tour you have to pay 1000) but 80% is consumable you can either use it in food/refreshments or activities. The activities in the resort is quite expensive, but the food is commendable since it is affordable. Your 800 will go a long way good for your whole day stay. There is no need to pay for cottage or bench. All of them is for free.
The beach is clean - white sand and the beach itself is calm.
There are also swimming pool in the resort some of them are exclusive only for the overnight guests. But there is a huge pool we accessed, it has slides which I enjoyed.
The swimming pool is deep, 5ft minimum depth. so be sure to bring floaters for your kids.
All in all, I like what Dakak has to offer :)
