We came for an evening meal the night before and it was beautiful! Sea bass amazing. Decided to come for Sunday dinner the next day. Very bad experience. 10 minutes wait for a table which was great for a Sunday at peak time! Sat down ordered at the bar 5 minutes later with the rudest barmaid (black haired girl) who proceeded to be rude loud and obnoxious throughout the meal. Waiter came down the stairs and shouted across the bar to his colleagues no more food will be coming out for an hour. We had already been waiting 35 minutes. So I asked a waitress when ours would be out response was 5 minutes. 25 minutes later we got our food. Vegetables were lovely. Beef was freezing cold and over cooked. But the thought of sending it back when it had already took an hour to send out cold food and I was just too hungry. Rude waitress piped up again shouting across the restaurant at what appeared to be the manager seemingly being cheeky to him. Constantly rolling her eyes whenever asked to do something or speaking to customers and colleagues. Don’t mind having a chat whilst your at work but talking about how drunk and messy you were isn’t really appropriate. Kind of ruined the meal a bit more when we were in hearing distance and not being able to block her out

Enjoyed meal, only complaint is that Prawn Cocktail had pond at the bottom. We all had beef which I loved but sisters found gravy too rich. staff service etc good, but lose a 4 rating as no table service.

After having frequented this lovely eating place for so many years and thoroughly enjoying the quality and presentation of the food on every single occasion, I am sad to say I was let down this evening for the first time.I am unsure whether it was an odd 'off night' but the panache, presentation and special scrumptiousness was missing: such a shame as I have sung its praises until now.

We've been visiting here for nearly ten years now. Our latest visit was a family group of four. We all had different meals and all were excellent. Special mention for the Fish and Chips which are as good as you will get
