A feast for your eyes

Beautiful Landscape,we almost took our photos on all corners - infinity pool, jacuzzi, flowers and trellis with bongauville blooms everywhere in various color, cream -colored beach ( with some stones though). Not so crowded. Quite Pricey but negotiable since we have a big group. They added various amenities so it justifies the price. I just wish they served more fresh fish dishes. I think their business is growing bigger and have to train new staff but I think they try their best. Our minor concern was hot water as early as 5AM since we wake up early and it was difficult to use their keys - but the other staff tried to help. The other concern is for the town of Bolinao - Filipinos wants some souveneirs and pasalabong and town has yet to develop this- I think

One of the things you will discover as you drive from Bolinao along the Patar Road to this resort. And that is, there are a lot of other resorts along the way but have either no listing or just don't advertise.
There's no doubt that Puerto Del Sol is the best of them. The garden layout, the pools, the bridge across the creek that takes you to the white sand beach, the meals and service were everything a person should expect for a place like this.
We stayed a week here and spent quite a few days just lazing by the pool, walking along the beach. The tide goes out so far that a walk to the water itself at low tide is a major hike. When the tide is out there are hundreds of rocks and rock pools to explore as well.
This place would be really jumping when all the accommodation is full. There were a few different standards available. There's a hammock near the pool that got a lot of use as well by us.
We did the trip to the lighthouse as well.
A couple of things you need to arrange if you're at Puerto Del Sol.
1. A reliable tricycle driver who will come when called. Pay him enough to sit around and wait for you. Or have a car.
2. Cash. There is no ATM except back in town. You don't want to be going back and forth there.
3. Take a trip by tricycle to the Enchanted Cave. Bring a swimming costume, you can get food there.
4. Take a trip to Patar Beach. The sand itself is worth it. the water crystal clear.

Quite a lot of exploring can be done. The coastline is great. Take swimming costume with you everywhere. There's a waterfall swimming hole nearby. You can do a lot of things around the area.

Room tip: Transport arrangements and cash. You need both.

Ever since, we are curious of Bolinao. We search for a place to stay thru internet and we have found Puerto Del Sol. Good thing, they were on 50% sale and we immediately grab the opportunity to experience its beauty and serenity based on the comments and pictures at Tripadvisor. It's a 6 hour drive from Clark to Bolinao. As soon as we reached the place, we hurried up to the front desk to check in for a room since they don't book in advance. No online booking also. It's a first come, first serve basis. Chances are if it's fully booked either you go to another place or go home again after such a long travel. The place was really nice. We stayed in one of their mansion villas which is good about 2-4 pax. Their service was good. The buffet breakfast was ok. We love their pizza.

Room tip: if you like spending money, choose Sitio Amore rooms.

I was so excited to explore the place in Bolinao , Pangasinan . I found an astonishing beach resort “Puerto Del Sol”. It's one of the best beach resort I have had explored. The beach amenities were fantastic. The rich and sumptuous landscape of their garden blended with classic and modern twist of their pools. It made me feel like I'm close to nature while the sea has so many wonders that you can only experience in Puerto Del Sol. The beach is sectioned into shallow and deep break water. I enjoyed the corals and other sea creatures. Even though it's a long drive to get there, it's worth it because the people in Bolinao are road abiders. I didn't feel any anxiety during the joy ride. The crew at Puerto Del Sol are very hospitable, we felt like a Queen and King when they offer their services. It exceeded our expectations. We're elated of their overflowing food and it taste delicious. The room is so clean and the amenities are so cozy. We felt de-stress during our stay. <3 <3 <3 I really love it and I'm looking forward to coming back again in this beautiful paradise with friendly people.

Room tip: You can choose a room base on your taste whether native , classic and modern rooms only in Puerto Del Sol

Having seen the very positive reviews on this resort, my partner and I travelled from Manila to for a Valentine's getaway and was very shocked that our hotel room was in an appalling condition - dust everywhere, the air conditioning was dripping and there were cracks and damages to the flooring.

Not only was the room in bad conditions but also the food was not up to standards and were very pricey for the small proportions.
