Stayed here for one night. It served its main purpose...to have a place to sleep and shower, but that was about it. We were quite underwhelmed with the service.

Had a horrible time finding it. Once we reached the area, we attempted to follow the signs, but they seemed to have us going in circles. When we asked one of the locals for assistance he pointed us in the correct direction, and then told us that others have the same problem. Reason: Signs are incorrect and will not lead you to the hotel.

We had reserved a parking spot. Even had the email confirmation that said we had. When we finally arrived we were told we had not reserved one. Luckily. there was a spot open at the time, but we were told it would only work if the car was small enough. Again we were lucky that it was. That being said, if someone reserves a spot, one should definitely be available. Also, if there are restrictions on the type of car, it should be noted before you arrive.

When we asked for a place that had a good black forest cake, both employees gave us the same name and said that is where they always tell people to go. We reached the place only to find out that it was closed. Not a huge deal; however, if you constantly recommend a place than it would be good to know if it was open or closed. We asked about it when we were checking-in so they knew we'd only be there for one night.

The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner so, again we asked for a recommendation. Although we were given two names you could tell they weren't happy to suggest a different place.

We were told that there was Internet access in the room, but we were not able to login. We asked about it downstairs, and were told that we must not know how to sign in correctly. Okay?? We work on the Internet daily, we login to other places Internet access with no problem, but apparently don't know how to there.

In the morning they kept pushing breakfast on us. We had to tell them multiple times that we didn't want it.

Since the room was nice and the hotel was clean,I can't rate it as poor, but I wouldn't say it is average either. If they had a grading between the two, I would have opted for that choice.

When entering the hotel we did not have any idea what would wait for us inside. It was small resort inside the building with a garden in the backyard. A small reception desk helped with the quick check-in. The rooms were very nice and modern. It looks like all rooms are somewhat different. The breakfast buffet had excellent choices. Service was good. The is location great with about 50m to the Main Street

Stayed in the Family Suite for 2 nights. Excellent spacious room. Room is on the top level hence ceilings get low but the balcony with lovely views more than makes up for it.

Lovely hotel walking distance from the train station. Right in the center of town. Great buffet breakfast with wide variety even for Vegetarians. Courteous helpful staff. Reception staff is English speaking so your queries are always taken care of.

Free Konus card for travel.

We were there on a Saturday and had the pleasure of visiting the farmer market. Which is a must do.

Piece de resistance was the chiming of the bells on the hour. Bliss.

This hotel is worth spending that bit extra.

We enjoyed two nights in this wonderful hotel. The staff could not be any more helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was stunning. The only improvement I could suggest would be air conditioning! We loved the free bike hire and took full advantage of this cycling around and about. Gengenbach itself is the most beautiful village.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Gengenbach. Clean, quiet, modern rooms and a very helpful staff were very much appreciated. The feature that sets this place apart from others is a beautiful roof top terrace with a 360 degree view of this charming town (especially wonderful at night). The breakfast buffet was outstanding and extensive enough to skip lunch. Eating in the delightful outdoor patio was a great way to start the day. The hotel may be a little pricey but overall it is well worth it.
