This museum has a very nice collection. It is worth seeing, but unfortunately, the descriptions is only written in japanese so you might want to ask your friends for translation.

Kuga Museum of History and Folklore is a part of the Yahata Lifelong Learning Village... It is in a beautiful building with many, many artifacts collected by Miyamoto Tsuneichi and other people, and is a wonderful way to spend a few hours relaxing and learning about Japanese agricultural traditions.
