Stayed here with my husband and his brothers. And we all loved it! Except for the wifi - the only one working was the one closest to the check-in counter!

The rooms ARE HUGE! VERY SPACIOUS! And nicely designed too, with class and sophistication. I say we got more than what we paid for! :)

Service was good but the servers were a bit "lost" sometimes, consistency wasn't their strongest point.

Food was good, breakfast though isn't free for everybody. Check first before ordering.

They have a bar so you could get some drinks before calling it a night, they close at midnight.

They have a pool! :) which is also open to the public for a fee.

Prices range from 2000-2500 per room per night. Not bad at all. :)

Need a nice and reasonable place to stay in Tuguegarao? This is it. The place is generally clean. Room service is ok. Breakfast food?......I'm just not sure if I can say it's that good but not bad. If you want a place with nice function hall and pool for a swim, check out this place with good privacy. Just make sure you remember to bring your swim wear if you're going for a swim. And dont forget to take a shower before you jump right in...management is strict with this policy (that's good). We're coming back :)

I always make it a point to read the Trip Advisor whenever i visit a place for the very first time.
From here, I get to know the must visits of the place and of course, the nice hotels where me and my family could stay in.

Now, Las Palmas is not the newest nor the chicest in this area.
I was almost ready to book with the newer ones.
But in the end, I considered the "homey" feel of the hotel not to mention its big pool within their property.

Booked the most expensive room (which was still cheap by Manila standard) and my little family of three had a grand time.

The people were okay but were not really the "chatty" types. Our conversations were confined to a smile-a yes-or a no kind of thing.

They were kind enough to keep our luggage for us when we went to Sta. Ana the next day.

The facilities were good and the prices were reasonable. I have never seen so many employees standing around doing nothing. When you want or need something they disappear. If you are in the restaurant or by the pool you must go find someone to wait on you. They also screwed up my credit card bill. anytime you want hot water, you must ask to have it turned on...hurry they do not leave it on long....will not return.

Tuguegarao is said to be the hottest city in the Philippines. Las Palmas de San Jose is a good place to cool off. It is really built within and around palms! Palms are even integrated into the buildings and the swimming pool. The hotel is very nicely and carefully designed, inside and outside. There are some rooms with direct access to the pool. The water temperature of swimming pools in the Philippines is sometimes almost hot. Here the shade of the palms keeps it at a very agreable and refreshing temperature.

We arrived here after a spectacular bus ride from Bontoc along the Chico River with great views again and again (you shouldn't miss this, see picture of our bus crossing fallen rocks) and stayed for two nights. The hotel is outside the city in a quiet residential area but easy reachable by Tricycle. We enjoyed the nice swimming pool, the shade of the palms, the good food and the hospitality at this place. And the price/performance ratio is excellent.

The second evening, when we ordered our dinner, the owners, Bob and Myrna Guzman, greeted us and invited us spontaneously to a dinner party they gave for the newly elected Mayor of Tuguegaro, Jeff Soriano and for one of their granddaughter's birthday. For us it was a nice and unexpected experience to meet the Guzman and Soriano families and we had a good time with them.

For all those who go to Banaue and Sagada we can only recommend to do afterwards the bus ride from Bontoc to Tabuk (via Tinglayan, departure 9 am.) and van to Tuguegarao (tell the bus driver to drop you off at the Van Terminal in Tabuk) and relax afterwards in Las Palmas de San Jose. It's really worthwhile! Furthermore, from Tuguegarao there are daily flights to Manila and the hotel has a free shuttle to the airport.
