At the end if a beautiful train ride, this is a gem of emotional history. Graphic descriptions, photos, paintings and objects really bring the war effort of Sunderland flying boats and their crew to life. Also fascinating stuff about the history of a naval dockyard. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable too.

An excellent collection of memorabilia of the home forces dedicated to the memories and brave men of the RAF who flew the Sunderland aircraft in the second world war. Well worth a visit and not to be missed. Excellent cafeteria, easy parking and very knowledgeable local guides.

This is a great resource and museum which celebrates the history of Pembroke Dock from its foundation in 1814 through to the present day. Topics covered include the royal dockyard (closed in 1926), the RAF seaplane station (1937 to 1959), the army barracks (Llanion and Defensible barracks and REME), local schools, the Oil Tank Fire in WW2, the recovered Sunderland flying boat, etc etc.
There is plenty of undiscovered material here and the team of enthusiastic volunteers do a great job in promoting the attractions of this Centre - there's a modern facilities block with toilets and offices and the Centre itself is situated in the restored late Georgian Dockyard Church.
I am an exile from Pembroke Dock having moved away in my late teens, and have traced my family's association with this area back to the 1600's - it is wonderful to see this forgotten piece of history being preserved and brought to life so vividly by the team aT this Centre - they deserve the support of all of us.
