We stayed here for seven nights having stayed in many hotels and B&Bs in the area over recent years. This is a delightful place to stay. The food is excellent, with hearty quality breakfasts, including Jill's fabulous home made jam. The room was very pleasant. Jason is very knowledgeable about the local area and advised us on local walks and places to see. The location of this property is a great balance of being off the beaten track yet within easy distance of so many beautiful places. We would highly recommend this B&B for excellent friendly and personal service.

Must have been one of the highlights of our visit to Wales. Great service from both hosts, great food, great rooms nothing but good Comments and have seen friends there. If you like quiet for rest best place to be. Will go back soon.

We were visiting friends in the area and found this little gem. We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived and the room was just stunning. The added extra of the bird feeder outside the window gave us a great view of the visitors. The special little touches around both the room and overall accommodation were well thought out. Having a key for the front door meant that we could come and go as we pleased. The breakfast selection was very good and I would recommend the full welsh, delicious.
We were treated to meeting the other house guest after breakfast when Jason got his birds out. Buzz was very accommodating in entertaining us and the Harris hawks were beautiful. Considering this is there first foray into running a bed and breakfast, and they have only been there 15 months, they provide a spectacular experience.

Room Tip: The pink room at the front had a great view of the valley and the bird visitors.

We stayed one night whilst meeting family who had travelled up from South Wales. Arriving at Ty Derw we were greeted by various birds of prey (Goshawk, Harris Hawks, Kestrel etc.) sitting on their perches after Jason ( the owner) had cleaned out their mews, which being born of prey nut was a fantastic site.. The welcome was warm and the room was really comfortable with a spacious separate bathroom with all the comforts of home. Jason and Gill know lots about the area and are happy to share options for walking, photography and what's on in the area. After an refreshing night's sleep, breakfast (the full Welsh) was excellent with the quality of the local produce and especially the home made plum jam exceptional. A great B & B with Jason & Gill being at the heart of it. We will be back
