We decided to stay here so that we could break our drive up to Scotland.
The original house dates back two hundred years and after being extended it became a hotel 25 years ago. It stands in over 20 acres of beautiful gardens that run down to the Lakeside.
We stayed in an executive room with its own balcony which was very comfortable. The hotel was fully adherent to the Covid rules and regulations.
Both the evening meal and breakfast the following morning were excellent. The restaurant staff were hard-working and attentive.
This hotel is perfectly located for access to the northern lakes. We will definitely use it again when we drive up to Scotland.More
