My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights this week. The original booking was 15 months ago when there was flooding on the original dales selected then COVID hit! Booking staff all very friendly actually all the staff were polite, friendly and charming. We were asked about which room we wanted to stay in and we are not fussy people so we allowed staff to allocate us a room . We were in room 6 named Hebden. The room is situated at the side of the building and overlooked the car park which was fine as we were not concerned about a room with a view as we planned to be out during the day.the room was comfortable enough but there were a few minor maintenance issues. The handle in the bathroom was old and looked shabby in comparison to test of bathroom which was lovely. There was a repair to the bottom of the inside door that was needed- looked like some plywood had stepped off the door. The TV was very old 10years plus and could do with updating to a smart TV - the weather was bad yesterday and we were unable to watch TV as the signal was poor. The sleigh bed in the bedroom looked a little tired and needed re- staining and refreshing. These were all minor but worth mentioning - attention to detail is what you expect in a hotel of thus quality. We had a meal in the restaurant on the first evening - excellent food both dinner an breakfast . The views from the breakfast room and dining room are stunning. The location of the hotel is excellent with fantastic walks to Grassington appletreewick etc. With good local pubs Craven Arms in Appletreewick. Had a fantastic few days even if weather wasn’t great
I would recommend this hotel for a special treat

We had a great weekend away, just before the second lock down. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is a problem to making your stay the best.

We had a classic double which was well furnished and clean, would have chosen a bigger room but the hotel was full.

Our main reason for choosing the fell was the location and been dog friendly.

The staff made Elsa very welcome and it is truly the best dog friendly hotel she has stayed in. We will definitely revisit. She was not the only dog in the hotel and they can even have the evening meal and breakfast with you.

The hotel location is perfect in the middle of the country side and lots of different walking routes right from the hotel.

The village pub is only a five minute walk away.

Another trip will be planned once we are allowed to travel again.

We had an overnight stay on Saturday. The room was spacious and clean with lovely views. The hotel is well organised with hand sanitizer/ washing facilities in the entrance. All staff wore masks or visors so it felt safe. The food was excellent at lunch, dinner and the Yorkshire breakfast. We will be coming back over Christmas as the atmosphere in this hotel is relaxed and friendly and sightseeing in the area very charming. 1 night wasn’t eneough .

We stayed here recently, have driven past many times on the way to the village and looked up at it and thought, one day.....
We stayed on the DB&B deal and stayed in a standard room with a view of the car park and garden. We went on a lovely long walk along the river under the bridge.
For dinner we were shown into the conservatory were we thought the tables could be a little more spaced out and dogs excluded. The dinner menu was not extensive and one of us struggled with choices. The food was mostly very good and enjoyable. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and did everything to try and make everyone's stay pleasant.
Only one thing that did disappoint us were the VERY hard pillows, they did prevent us getting a good night's sleep. A previous reviewer had mentioned them but obviously nothing has been done to rectify the problem. We would bring our own if we returned.
