We stayed here for 4 days before leaving Bohol and the place is wonderous. The hosts are very welcoming and warm and helped us with transportation and gave useful information from motorbike rent, to taxi back to Tagbilaran, to hike trails. Environment is just amazing and pretty, huge jungle hills, a river and lots of native wildlife can be found in the area. Huts are built from native materials, and preserved an authentic jungle-y vibe.
The food is homemade, although after 4 days it started to get a bit boring and there were few things we would have done differently. Water was purified and seemed clean but did not taste that well.
The biggest con for me was the verticality of this resort. The dining space and reception was at the top of a quite steep and tall hill, which, after a long and tiring day in heat, was really hard to climb, and if You forget a thing or two in Your hut - you have to climb the stairs again.
Do not be surprised to meet huntsman spiders, that despite their imposing size avoid human contact and are actually keeping insects away from roaming Your hut.
Overall, if you are not looking for city conveniences, are not afraid of cold showers, spiders and wildlife sounds at night, and love staying closer to nature during You stay, this place is definitely for You.
P.S. check out the zipline ride...We stayed here for 4 days before leaving Bohol and the place is wonderous. P.S. check out the zipline ride that is just 15-20min walking distance from the resort - a must try experience for anyone without heart issues.
