2400 years and still amazing. Have to park at a lot about 1 kilometer away and take the bus, but otherwise totally worth it.

Visiting this site was a last minute decision. If you drive by car, be aware that you should not follow the signs to the Parco Archeologico, but instead the "station". There is no parking space near the park, the "station" is a parking space where you can leave your car, and take a shuttle to go to the site. Beware of various fees:
- Parking your car: 5 Euro per car
- Shuttle to site: included in car park fee
- Access to park: 6 Euro per person
- Bus climing to Theatro: 1,5 Euro per person
Those are all paid separately.
The temple is great to see, near the ticket center. It is an easy 5-min climb.
Visiting the Theatre is different though - the site is 1.25 km away, uphill. You can walk, or take a bus. The bus is an extra charge. But if you are able to walk, you will get magnificient views of the Temple (the best in my opinion), and various locations where you can take great photos of the surrounding valleys. Note that we did it in the winter (12 degC), I would not do it in July - I would probably take the bus.
If you do all this walking, plan 1.5h for the visit and shuttle.

Absolutely worth visiting and admiring even if the most vivid imagination cannot fully comprehend what it must have represented in its heyday.
