With the onset of COVID-19 upon us, it was, perhaps, not the best time for a vacation; however, we left for the Philippines on 3/6/20, arriving to Cebu a week before Manila announced additional cases and was locked down. We stayed at North Zen for two nights, 3/12 and 3/13. We had planned to stay 2 additional nights; however, we had to leave before Panglao Island was locked down as well. Even after all we went through, I cannot wait to go back there and stay when things aren't so insane.

Maria Lourdes recommended North Zen to us and I am so glad she did! The staff are so friendly, the facility is impeccably clean and well put together. The only bit of feedback I could provide is (I am a form = function type of person), the fancy shower drains some water on the floor. But, as long as you put a towel down you're fine. And the floor has a drain, so it's made to get wet anyway. The bathrooms are gorgeous though. They have large windows, letting in a lot of light while maintaining privacy.

The staff: I must thank Alfred, who was so accommodating to us, making last minute changes to our reservation and added specials to our stay (I.E. foot massages) as well. Christine worked in the restaurant and was new; however, you couldn't tell. She is very professional, sweet, and on top of her duties. Jayfrel makes the best mango shakes! I was impressed on day two when he remembered not to add milk to my shake, even though I had forgotten to ask. My wife's extended family is quite large, and Angel, who served us our breakfast provided impeccable service. And lastly, thank you to Shara, who was kind enough to try and contact Philippine Airlines on the phone for us so we could try and change our flight after we had heard about the cancellation of domestic flights.

In this challenging, ever changing and uncertain new world, North Zen gave us the best time possible: not even a silly virus could stop them from being courteous, professional, and accommodating! Most importantly, no one ever had a frown, or look of concern on their face. Each and every one of the staff always had a smile. They really wore their brave faces well.

Alfred, my wife and I truly cannot wait to get back there and take full advantage of the amenities you offer and finally get that vacation I feel I deserve!

Excellent stay - we stayed in North Zen Villas for 5 days. The resort is very nice, the staff very friendly and helpful to arrange number of attractions trips/tours. The resort restaurant is amazing place for delicious breakfasts and dinners - again amazing staff. The resort has very good location - good starting point for i) Panglao/Bohol tours and ii) sea/snorkeling/sea live watching tours.
What to recommend - i) guests should definitely see the sunset from the end of bamboo walk through the amazing mangrove trees. ii) guests should take the opportunity and visit the South Palm beach resort (30min drive) with one of the most beautiful Panglao/Bohol private white sand beaches.

We really enjoyed our stay at North Zen Villas (room 18).
The place is very clean and quiet. The room is spacious with a balcony, the cooler is modern and quiet. The pool is also wonderful, specially at night whith lights. We also had lunch and diner at the restaurant. The meals were veryt good. I recommend the spare ribs, delicious.
