Stay here for 3 nights from 27/3 till 30/3.
2nd time trying out Dormy inn.
Ever stay in Osaka dormy inn hot spring in higashi umeda. Compare this umeda had better onsen facilities. This one a bit run down but overall still got free ramen n foot bath. Nearby sakura park just next to hotel a plus point
Will try out others for my next visit

Yes, location is the saving grace of this hotel, as it is near the subway and tourist sites. However, I wasn't lucky enough to get a room with a view of the SkyTree, just the mundane street on the other side.
The room is small. I paced it at about 9' x 12', not including the short hallway. If two people stay, one must crawl over the other to get in and out of bed. The key fob must be inserted into a slot by the door to turn on the lights; this gives you one option - on or off. So at night, there are no lights at all, which could be a problem for midnight bathroom trips.
And the bathroom was reminiscent of a Porta- Potty; you must step up around six inches to enter. There was a four-foot bathtub squeezed inside too. At least the water pressure was sufficient. And at least I was amused by the clothes hangar provided to dry some small laundry items.
I'll place my bet on another hotel next time.

We stayed in a Dormy Inn in Kanazawa that was quite wonderful, so we booked this place for our last nights in Tokyo. Unfortunately, this is not a well maintained hotel and although the baths were nice, the hours for women were way too early to be useful. Even the breakfast, which was one of the highlights in Kanazawa, was mediocre a this place. Our room did have a nice view of the river, but we had to pay extra for that.

Room Tip: Ask for river view

Directly opposite train station, ideal to access, old Tokyo, it's cheap and ok, needs a bit of upgrade, rooms small as in Japan, ramen at night in price with either Japanese or western style breakfast, it's fine for overnight or a day or two

The location can't be any better if you plan to enjoy authenthic japanee tradition and also shopping. The hotel is just 15min to Sensoji temple, aka asakusa temple. The street is always full of shops, restorant and people. Only 5 mins from Asakusa subway. The hotel even provide female guest a pamper set!! Enjoy hot bath while devouring the view of tokyo skytree is the best! There's 24hrs of free hot coffee in the lobby. Breakfast is fantastic! Late night ramen will warm you up when come back from wandering in the dark, cold street. The 2 main downsides are that the location, even near the station, is quite far from the central tokyo and can be a bit troublesome if you plan to get out of the cities. The other is that, since the hotel is so compact, the hot bath will be available only inthe limit amouth of time. But other then that, everything was terrific! RECOMMEND!!
