for yen 3,200, you are able to help yourself to a 100 variety of sake, sochou and some liquor in house. i arrived just half an hour before closing, so settled for a sampler set which was 4 sake for yen 1,500. it was excellent value and i got to taste raw, super dry and slightly fruity sakes. I even got to taste the sparkling sake just released - it was quite nice.

it looks like a good place to meet up with friends or have a friday night out.

We took the English language tasting class here and it was a really great experience. It cost around 4500Y per person, but it was definitely worth it. It started with two hours of lessons about the sake making process, different sake types, and flavour profiles. Afterwards we had two additional hours of free pouring from probably 50-75 different sake bottles. By the end, we had sampled so many sakes and had a better idea about what we liked/disliked in a sake. The sakes they provide are very high quality, with some that are exclusive to Kurand and unique options to try like sparkling sake and fresh sake. There's also fruit liqueurs and a beer machine for any friends who decide it's not for them. We brought in our own food and they provided cutlery and plates. Overall we had a great night drinking (probably too much) high quality sake and learning more about the craft. A highlight of our trip to Japan!

We went to Kurand on the last night of our trip to Tokyo. I am very happy that we did not miss out on this cool experience!
Kurand lets you try dozens of different kinds of sake, all at your own pace. The staff was very helpful in explaining the procedure to us, and helped us to navigate all the choices by providing us with a checklist sheet that detailed the qualities of all the sake. There are clear English instructions as well for how to warm up the hot sake varieties. And there's a beer tap too, in case you get tired of just sake!
Definitely bring plenty of food! We got takeout sushi and dumplings to do with our sake. Kurand provides real dishes for the food as well, so the experience isn't dampened by eating out of a plastic tray.
Reservations are required, and can be made online or by phone.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Kurand, and would absolutely recommend it to any traveler that enjoys sake.

But for reals all you can drink sake!! Pretty much sums up this review! Awesome place can be a little tricky to find but that's part of the adventure! Make sure to bring plenty of food so you can enjoy the sake.
