I've visited the Chocolate Bar many times with family and friends. First visit we tried the chocolat ball, which is chocolate ice cream and raspberry sorbet, crushed macaron, inside a big chocolate ball. The server will pour hot chocolate on it and the ball will melt. Simply devine.

Next you should try the Delire Delice infinite praline. Its really delicious. crunchy praline with the chou pastry and hazelnut ice cream.

We tried almost all in the dessert menu list at the chocolate bar. The chocolate parfait, millefeuille.
We also tried the dessert platter which was also delicious. If you plan to go to the chocolat bar and just eat something from the shop downstairs its also possible but why not indulge in the dessert menu? a bit pricey but worth every Yen!

As we just have a brunch time not a long ago, we decided to go with a in-house-specialty dessert. Adding the explanation from the staff, we decided to order Sensation. Pouring a hot chocolate on perfectly sphere thin chocolate, unveiled a chocolate & a caramel ice cream with gems of salted caramel. Could not get any sensational than this one!

I adore pierre herme macarons and cakes but have always wished I could devour them on site with a good espresso. At Le Chocolat Bar you can do just that and afterwards browse the extensive take away offerings down stairs. We order the fetish Montebello. It arrived with a mini millefeuille, a macaron, a chocolate, a scoop of ice cream and a slice of the Montebello tarte. Definitely one of the most satisfying dessert experiences in a long time. Yes there aren't many tables there but it is well worth waiting.

good:
-cakes with fancy outlook and taste good. hot chocolate drink is too sweet and thick, if you are the fan of chocolate, then this is yours!
-one cake is around 900yen or more (around US$9), so logically it must taste more than fine.
-good atmosphere of restaurant at the up-stair of the store.

Bad:
-only 2 tables and a bar table are available, seats are not enough. for eating a piece of cake costs US$9, it is not worth to eat it as "take away" snack only, of course you want to have a nice seat to enjoy, in this case you should patient to wait for table available, but you won't know when will the customers finish chatting and leave.

-NO photo for everything in store, maybe that's japanese culture, they cannot and do not need to give you reason, just NO. i was prohibited after taken.

There's a reason why this is the ONLY Pierre Herme outside Paris--the Japanese is able to uphold/maintain the avant-garde standard of pastry that PH delivers. Being a person with sweet tooth, I often look for exclusive and special patisseries when I travel. So, the no-brainer must-visit for me would be none other than the Pierre Herme and Sadaharu Aoki (I will save it for another review, maybe).

The cafe is located at one wing of a mall facing the road, which is quite easy to access. The lower floor is a boutique selling pastries while the upper floor is a 20-seat cafe, which uber-chic and modern decos. The ambiance is romantic for date and the desserts are just to die-for. When it's Pierre Herme, you know you are in for the finest quality.

Tips:
1. Don't be intimidated by the exclusivity of the cafe, it's French patisserie franchise in Japan, it offers nothing but the best

2. Instead of getting the macaroon individually (which is more expensive), look for tea set that offers better value and variety of macaroons to choose from.
