The restaurants around the edge of the square are varied, and there are often stalls or markets outside too. The fountains at the end offer a cooling breeze and nice view, so it's a popular spot for lunch.

The ANA Hotel is beautiful and expensive. Ark Hills is filled with restaurants. Go to the farmer's market here on weekends for interesting local produce.
We stay at the ANA in Ark Hills on our frequent Tokyo trips. Location is ideal - within walking distance to Rappongi, the Imperial Palace, and the Ginza subway line. There are several restaurants (and shops) in the hotel with many more in the adjacent open air plaza and in the surrounding areas. Service is prompt and professional, Internet in room always available and fast. Nice outdoor pool and eating area adjacent to decent gym. Linens excellent (with a pillow menu) and thick robes delivered if you ask. Very nice overall.
As you would expect in a hotel aimed at the business traveller, the rooms are comfortable and well-equipped: huge beds, comfy mattresses and pillows, state of the art bathroom with L'Occitane bath accessories. The breakfast buffet has a wide-range of international foods, wasted on me as I only eat fruit! However the same restaurant for a la carte lunch has a poor selection of foods and is expensive; the only other restaurant we tried was the little sushi diner, which served sparkling fresh sushi and sashimi. The hotel is conveniently situated for sightseeing, close to Ginza, Rippongi, with some restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The concierge service extremely helpful.
