The have the best food offering. Waiters Joseph Kitheka and Rose Kagendo stood out, great to see rooms are being spruced up to keep up with the times and walls whitewashed. Uzima Spa is a must visit..

Great property. Lobby open and spacious. Large well kept grounds. Front desk staff very helpful. Great pool, two of them, one is made to do laps. One pool goes under a cover. Two restaurants.
One small negative, the security guard at the beach was very rude, and gave us a hard time getting into the property, he should not be working with the public.

I had an issue where I came back to my room to change from a short to a trouser for dinner then I forgot that I had removed my money from my shorts and kept it on the table so by mistake the money apparently got under the basket on the table. I went for dinner then I came back. I tried to look for the money and I didn’t find it so I had to call the staff to ask, since I found a Christmas gift kept in the room and it wasn’t there before I went for dinner. we looked for the money for a while and I managed to find it under the basket. So now the guy who was in charge for the day started saying I’m the one who hid the money there and they even made me write a report. Firstly, I’m the one who found the money and they still had to say I’m the one who kept the money under the basket on the table. It’s not a good thing to accuse someone in doing such a thing. I’m very disappointed in this hotel and I wouldn’t advice anyone to come here. Their staff are very rude and disrespectful.

Dear Gibson,
We note your sentiment regarding the case of lost and found item (In this case, money). As an entity, we value your feedback and your satisfaction while at Travellers Beach Hotel is our ultimate goal. We empathize with you regarding the situation in question which we think was caused by the need to get the function venue on time hence placing the money on the table.
In as much it isn't in order for our staff to conclude that you had hid the money, we also have a disclaimer that alludes to the fact that all valuables including money should be kept in safes that are provided free of charge in our rooms and you should have used that facility for the purpose intended. We have also noted that the money was found during the search conducted by our staff after you raised the complain. It was within this search that you got the money meaning that you knew where the money was from the word go. Once the money was gotten,and to protect the hotel from further claim, you were requested to write a statement confirming that you had gotten the money. This is a general practice anywhere else. Kindly note that it was entirely in your control that money was misplaced and not as earlier thought and reported by yourself.
If in the process of confirming all these you got a sense of disrespect from any of our staff, we apologize.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel. Beautiful layout of rooms and pools running alongside the rooms. No crowding and very quiet and prestine. Meals are good..some too spicy but a good chef was kind enough to get us plain rice and kept an eye on us throughout advising on non spicy food. Great waiter services especially an ever smiling one called Hassan ( I hope I got the name right) and Anthony O. Rooms were clean with extra white towels. Good housekeeping etiquette. There was evening entertainment and kids play area. There's a gym and spa which I didn't get to try out, maybe on a subsequent visit.
Area of improvement: reception, porter services and guards at main entrance to the hotel. No major concern on porters, but they were hardly available on check in. Reception- I was given a room allocation I didn't appreciate at first but this was changed. Guards at main entrance watched as we struggled with suitcases to check in..they didn't bother to call porters to assist.
Otherwise a perfect holiday destination. Beautiful expansive hotel, very thoughtful and well furnished lounge areas, saw various poolside bars. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Sufficient pool towels and pool beds. Amazing view of the ocean.

The security personell is rude and ask too many questions about your whereabouts and also the directions are not well put out
The space at the pool bar is small and the service is very poor with only one attendant with unfriendly attitude while heading to the beach
The order also takes too long

Most of the staff I met here were fabulous, .. Juma was especially helpful, Patty, Baraka, Nancy among others, the waiters however weren't as friendly as the rest. The room I had was awesome, the food was OK, good housekeeping.
They should however include things like gym,sauna, steam on the cost of the hotel, it is important to have an iron box in the room too..
Room tip: Choose the refurbished rooms, the older rooms are awful.
