This is a great spot to visit while staying in vigevano. There are a few restaurants and some offer outside dining or you can just relax and enjoy the scenery with a cappuccino. Although i was told there are many functions that take place in the piazza we were there in the middle of October and things seemed a little quiet but it is definitely worth seeing.

Piazza Ducale at Vigevano is wonderful and it is one of the most beautiful in Italy. The castle that is located on one side of the piazza complete the overall harmonious settings. Originally the piazza was an anexus of the castle, then at a later time became the most notable and known piece of Vigevano.

A typical Italian square filled with restaurants and shops. Nice to walk around and admire the architecture, especially the palace in the background.

Was looking for a pit stop between Genoa and Milan Malpensa Airport and found Vigevano on a forum. It was our last stop on a week long Italian road trip and did not disappoint. Beautiful plaza and town, and we had the bonus of being there at 11am during what looked like recess for the school kids. Instead of the middle and high schoolers being stuffed in a cafeteria, apparently they hang out in the piazza, which added a nice sneak peak into the culture.

Had the opportunity to visit the town of Vigevano, which is famous for handcraft manufacturing of Shoe's. This historic center was once part of the Duke Francis II Sforza's kingdom. You can walk along this magnificent center and have some pre-dinner drinks and then have dinner in one of the many restaurants. From the center square you can also center the castle grounds.
