The hotel is not impressive from the outside, but it sits on the beach front of Alona. I was staying at another hotel and walked in to check the prices for rooms. There is a resto in the reception front area. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful, this may have been the deciding factor to stay there. The room I decided to take was around P1900 per night, upstairs and the backside of the hotel. They have ocean view rooms, but I think it may not be advisable to take them as the noise from the front beach may be bothersome for some. Room included a nice breakfast. The room was very clean, simple in nature, but comfortable. The Wifi doesn't reach the rooms.
I did not like that room has no shower curtain and the floor would get fully wet in the CR. I also did not like the outside hallway outside of my room of the hotel, where plywood type doors blocked at least two entrances onto the roof...this seems to me to be a security issue and was a turn off. I almost didnt stay there due to it. Room was on the smallish side, but adequate.
I would however stay there again as overall it was a nice friendly place. The staff is a major part in their success as the rooms are competitive to other places. The food in the resto was very good and prices were better than most. What puzzled me is that they have no beach loungers for a beach front hotel.
Thank you Trudis for being nice to me..
