We’ve been coming to Leaves and Fishes since it first opened (feel like more than 10 years) and it’s been consistently good and the unique setting, as trees have grown and there is now a dear little store, is more beautiful than ever. It’s a sweet, stylish setting over a little man-made trout lake. Food is a great mix of seafood, Asian, Australian, smallish menu but something for everyone including children. The wine list is a bit limited, that would be my only criticism but service is great, professional and friendly. And the store does terrific coffee and wickedly good treats.

Settled on top of a deck, over their own fish farm is Leaves and Fishes. Great food, good service, prices moderate for the Hunter Wine Region. Reccomended

My wife and I have driven past this place for a very long time and this weekend we decided to explore what was there?

Its a surprise. Landscaped entry which is a few hundred metres off the road but once you park and get out you are surprised.
A store in a wooden pavaillion on the right with a path to a restaurant overlooking a lake (rural dam). Very serene and a lovely place for a quiet lunch with a partner or group of friends

Food was delicious. We shared a charteurrie platter and some olives. Wine to complement and coffee to finish. We intend to return for dinner so we can experience the mains!.

This restaurant also has on site function pavilion and accomodation

A great surprise and one we intend to visit again and again

Great spot for some well priced culinary delights. Nice unique space to enjoy the view while you are served by attentive wait staff. I highly recommend the chicken wings...I know it doesn't sound exotic, but I think you'll be happy you did!

Driven past on many occasion, thought we would call I for a quick lunch, the restaurant is set well back from the road, the restaurant sits above a large lake that have fish, it's a quirky place. We started with bread and dips as well as roasted nuts and baked olives, just the right size to share, main was scallops which was sufficient for what we wanted. The highlight was feeding fish with stale bread, something a little different overall an enjoyable experience
