We had previously avoided Capolinea Cafè because its ideal location at the west end of Piazza Popolo suggested it would be touristy and expensive. Wrong on both counts. We stopped by early (7:15) to leave plenty of time for a performance of La Bohème at Teatro L'Aqiila (wonderful theater), and the dinning room was already filling with orchestra members and theater goers. However, the service was excellent and we had two delicious pasta dishes and shared a secondo. We ended our meal with a very good desert and caffè. All this and water and house wine for 42 euro. We will return.
