Terrible experience.. Starting off from the room. No sufficient light. Bathroom tiles cracking, tap water moves, no wardrobe, full of cobwebs, air-conditioning control not available. As we asked for it at reception, we weren´t given a control, saying that it doesn´t work. There was a Moroccoan Family on the tour with us and they gave it to them. We barley slept as it was freezing at night. No hot water.
After dinner we stood around the fireplace and we were very quietly on our mobiles. As it deemed right for the night receptionist at around mid'night, he switched off the internet. I approached him personally for the internet, and he snapped at me saying that it´s late and we should go to sleep. Anyway.. a complete NO NO. Don´t go there! We booked through a tour agent in Marakesh. Make sure you ask for the hotel names if you go through a tour agent

During our holidays in Marakkesh, we asked from our hotel to plan a 3day trip to Mertzouga desert. The first day of the trip had overnight to Gorges Dades in this hotel. When we reached the room we couldn’t believe in our eyes. The room was freezing cold and the controler of the air condition was not there, it was extremely dirty (with dust everywhere), the electrical plugs had no electricity so we couldn’t even charge our phones, the wifi was working only in the first floor and the door for the balcony was problematic and we couldn’t lock it, so anybody from outside could get into our room. When i went in the reception to complain and ask for the controler they told me in a very rude way that if i feel cold i have to pay 100 dihram more to give me the controler. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL!

Extremely cold room with no heating. Dirty Sheets. Damp towels. Mediocre food at the restaurant and pushy staff that shows over enthusiasm expecting a tip. No Wifi in room either.

I would suggest you stay in another kasbah. If you have no choice, bring a sleeping bag, thick clothing, your own towel, and maybe even a portable heater. Try not to be friendly at all cost, staff will remember you if you don't tip and will try to make you feel bad.
