Unfortunately I was only able to stay for one night at Tigh na Sgiath as it is a hidden gem, It is a very impressive looking building from the outside and inside it is immaculately kept. My room was on the second floor and very well presented although it wasn't en-suite, it had a very large bathroom just across the corridor. Ian and Elaine were very welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Dinner was superb with a good set of choices on the menu. I was unable to have a dessert as the first two courses were very generous portions but my daughter-in-law's dessert looked delicious,
Breakfast too did not disappoint as there was a really good choice of cold dishes on a table where you could help yourself. This was followed by an excellent choice from the cooked menu. There was also an outstanding choice of teas.
I can't recommend Tigh na Sgaith highly enough for anyone looking for an idyllic Highland retreat. There is also so much to see and do in the surrounding area.
We will certainly be back.More
