We came here for a family birthday and had a lovely time. The menu was good, the food well-cooked and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is decorated nicely and they put us at a table which was very appropriate for the disabled member of our party as we had requested. The only issue we had was with the service. It was very very slow. We sat down at the table we booked at 6 30 and by 7 30 had only had our starter. We will certainly go back but they do need to work on timings.

Visited on a Saturday evening after speaking to lots of people who was full of praise. Our table was booked for 7.30, however we was left sitting in the bar area until 8.10. We was then shown to our table which was dressed with mismatch cutlery and a missing fork. Our order was taken fairly quickly but then we waited until 9pm for the starters to make an appearance. The scallops are a total rip of at £8.95 for just two sitting on a massive plate. The waitress service was almost no existence, we had to ask each time for drinks after siting with empty glasses for ages. The main course was brought out before the starters plates had been cleared from the table. Whilst I have no complaints about the standard of the food the service was atrocious. If you want to keep your customers happy then you need to be more attentive regarding your service. Not sure we will return in a hurry.

Great food and service. Plenty of good staple homely foods that are really tasty and good portion size.

We were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant as w had heard great things about it. Unfortunately we were left feeling very disappointed. We had ordered a risotto for a main course which when served was inedible. Whilst they did offer to replace the dish in the time it had taken to come in the first place the rest of us would have finished eating! My slow roast pork belly, which is one of my favourites, was very chewy and not pleasant to eat. I felt that the service was slow and the staff whilst pleasant were not particularly attentive on our visit. What a shame as it showed great promise.
