Marianne and I thoroughly enjoyed our first stay this weekend and will be coming back. Best place I have stayed within 3 hours of Manila.

Pros:
Attentive friendly staff keen to attend to your every need
Amazing views and private accommodation
Access to quite a few private beaches (something to suit everyone)
Perfect for families or couples cos enclosed spaces with good pools
Don't miss the views from the 9 hole golf course (even if non-player)
Immaculately kept gardens
Check in and orientation was great

Cons
The best sandy beach (at Terazza) is a short drive or free shuttle away (but well worth it)
Food choices (for dinner) are limited if you choose the inclusive
package
Some fixtures and fittings need updating (TV and Fridge quite old in our room and didn't work properly)
Restaurant food service is slow so dining takes longer than expected (even in breakfast buffet where slow to replenish)
General maintenance of the property needs to improve to maintain appeal in future (e.g. bathrooms/shower could be cleaner)
Was surprised there wasn't a single massage slot available throughout the entire weekend - More Therapists required
Pools, restaurants and facilities should open later than 6pm or 9pm

Feedback provided in the spirit of continuous improvement.

Overall great weekend and I will be coming back for my birthday

Let's face it, it's for members only because it's an exclusive village with amenities. Security is excellent, but the service transportation within the resort sucks - diesel powered small trucks converted to passenger vehicles, delapidated and all. With this kind of establishment, should have been electric vehicles. Not much anything to do here except perhaps some minor activities and swim. Like I said, it's just a big upscale village with amenities.

Dear leopoldo jr m,

Thank you for sharing your views. However, reading through your lines we have reason to assume that you have not experienced the services and amenities the Club has to offer.

For the objectivity of the readers we would like to add that apart of swimming at the various swimming pools and at Long Beach we have much more to offer: 9 hole Golf course, Lower Beach Club with mini golf and an al Fresco Restaurant "Jardinetto"; Water sports concessionaire with various activities, Marina services, San Diego Restaurant, T&C bar and lounge, Tennis and Squash court, Kids game hall, and a mini theater. However the use of the Club's facilities are restricted to members and paying guests of the Club.

Best regards,
Edgar Krohn

Pros

Double Infinity Pool - hands down, one of the best place to witness the sunset

Long Beach pool - child friendly pool, not too crowded

Service - impeccable and fast. Fast check in and check out, restaurant staff are always helpful

Cons

Room - while it was big, room looked old and gloomy. It gave an eerie feeling. The walkways leading to the rooms were not lit enough so we have to use our phone's flashlight when it gets dark.

Beach - beach in the club was closed to guests so we had to go the long beach. Not much to do except use the pool facilities.

Dear Apple May R,

Thank you for staying at Club Punta Fuego and sharing your experiences which are valuable to us.

We are thrilled to know you loved the infinity pool at the Main Club, the family pool at Lower Beach Club and the service provided by several departments. Your comments regarding the rooms and lighting are duly noted and will assist in the improvement process.

In Habagat season - May to approximately end of October - we close the little Beach (Sunset Cove) located at the Main Club due to the vast amount of unwanted items washed on this beach and entire Batangas coast line, this for the convenience of our members and guests. Alternatively we provide a complimentary short shuttle ride to the most attractive beach on the Peninsula - Long Beach.
We hope this closure during your stay has not taken too much away from your overall experience with us.

Thank you once again, we are looking forward to your next visit at the Club.

Best regards,
Edgar Krohn

Nice ambiance and great service. Friendly staff and fast service. Great food choices but expensive. Go for buffet than ala carte almost the same prices. The shuttle was good, like a roller coaster ride lol

Dear ritchieespino,

Thank you for staying at Club Punta Fuego and sharing your experiences.

We are thrilled to know you found the ambiance nice and experienced fast service by our friendly team.
With reference to the food choices allow us to share that we cannot compete with prices offered in the city as the logistics catering to a remote location have to be taken into consideration.

We are looking forward to welcoming you soon back at the Club.

Best regards,
Edgar Krohn

The property is in desperate need of upgrades starting with the casitas. Poor members! Their investment is going to get worse before it gets better unless they are willing to spend a lot of money. Their neglect over the years has caught up with them. We had the very unpleasant experience of being checked into a room which had toxic fumes from the next room which was being refurbished. We could not breathe despite the fact that we opened sliding doors and front doors. Finally, they moved us to another room but the question remains, what was the GM thinking selling a room with toxic fumes? We checked out early and I went straight to the doctor who diagnosed me with upper respiratory problems. I was given 3 different types of meds. Not a pleasant experience. Will not be back nor recommend to friends. Plus there is no beach!!!
