Don't know about dinner, but for lunch, if you're looking for good solid basic cooking, nothing fancy, with reasonable prices and friendly folks, you can't go wrong here. Had a very nice lunch.

So called because across the street is the statue of King Kamehameha, in full regalia. A real quirky place serves pizzas, ice cream, salads. God bless the Hawaiians; they are so nice and friendly, they were really trying at this place but it was pleasant chaos. You place your order then wait and they’ll bring it out to you. They were constantly walking around trying to find “Vince” or "Joe" or whoever. Then some poor local guy came in for his pizza order that he’d ordered online, and they didn’t have it. He waited for nearly 45 minutes. At times it is the only show in town, and the food was good, not sensational, but solid and again the people were so nice. Take your time, and enjoy it. Supposedly brick oven pizza. Good, not great.

We stopped in on our way back from the Pololu Valley lookout for a late lunch. We’d checked on TA and the reviews were great. Walk in to the counter, order, pay and they bring the food to your table. Both ordered BLT’s, one toasted and one on a croissant, and they were pretty good, lots of bacon, with potato salad on the side. Good sandwiches, good counter service, bright and clean surroundings. But, it could have been a sandwich anywhere. Well, that’s not quite true, as not everywhere has the second of only two statues of King Kamehameha across the road! Don’t hesitate to stop in here.

While my wife and I like to stop for ice cream at places we travel, especially on a hot day this was totally a different type of experience. Sweet potato ice cream and it is purple. We have never seen it before but this small Cafe had it. Right across the street from the Kamehameha statue, it is a great place to stop. The pricing wasn't bad at all.

Friendly staff and custom lunch after some entertainment at the statue across the street. Prices were reasonable and we didn’t leave any scraps in spite of the generous helpings.
