“Terrible customer service”
Review of WestJet

I had to cancel this trip to Los Angeles due to the state of emergency, ongoing fires, evacuation orders and mandated curfew in that city. Yet, Westjet is unwilling to accommodate their passengers, waive the cancellation fee, or allow a refund for Ultra basic fares. The travel advisory was removed when everything is still the same in Los Angeles. This is terrible customer service and why I won't be loyal to Westjet in the future.

I’m always a little worried after reading so many negative reviews about Westjet but I was pleasantly surprised. Flights were basically on time except the return flight from Huatulco did end up delayed but that was due to a runway inspection which Westjet had no control over.
Flights attendants were friendly, professional and helpful. Pilots kept us updated. Planes were clean and I guess about as comfortable as a little 737 can be.
I’d definitely travel again with Westjet.

I was 40 minutes to my flight when I got to the airport and they told me that I wasn't allowed my boarding pass because it was passed the 45 minute mark to check in. I had a appointment to go to the next day and they didn't care. The manager was also very very rude and didn't care that I was missing my flight and wouldn't transfer my ticket to a different flight. Overall very bad service and wouldn't recommend to anyone

would give 0 stars if i could. westjet charged me for an over weight bag after through security i got an email notification of this. went back to the desk at check in to make sure this was an error which it was, my bag was not over weight. they charged a random persons card and emailed me the receipt. called customer service where all they said was sorry and that they were opening an investigation. not sure how it’s legal to just charge random cards they have on file for a bag that was not even overweight or assigned to my reservation number. then the customer service agent hung up on me when i was explaining that this is not professional at all for a company that’s been in business for so many years. will never be flying westjet again and will not recommend them to anyone. not worth the headache they cause and they do not care about their customers but just about getting your money. worst company i have ever dealt with in regards to righting a wrong they have done.

My flight to Cancun was a disaster. Delayed for 4 hours, changed plane, finally got boarding, after one and half hours of flight, it turned around and landed in Calgary due to 'system malfunction' , had to stay in Calgary for one night, waiting in freezing cold for the shuttle bus, lost a whole day in Cancun, and NO compensation!
