The crew at the check in counter at LAX was just awful to everyone in line and literally yelled at people to walk out of the line to let people without checked bags. They had 6 people at the kiosk chatting for 30 min, from 8:15 AM to 8:45 while 25 of us waited after being yelled at for no reason, since no one had been rude to them. The flight was actually to Vancouver, but the system did not have it for me to fill in.
Krystal to Krystal Grand in a heart beat..... My wife and I felt that we needed to write a review for an amazing local westjet representative Marcelina.
There was a miscommunication with the hotel both with the same name but clearly different... within 3 hours she was able to get us transferred (smooth transition) to the resort we wanted... I want to thank her for going above and beyond for us !!! You saved our vacation and can't thank you enough.. Marcelina you are a miracle worker.
Now again im not a robot and the airlines didn't pay me to write this, so here we go
now im not a flyer i take the bus train or drive but only way here
i wanted to see the west Edmonton mall, so flying is my only option
So i used sky scanner app to find my flights and budged air showed up and said i could go for 171 both ways, so i jumped on it.
Part 1 dont read reviews
i read reviews and scared the crap out of me that i was getting scammed yes i worried and worried i lost ll my money but to my surprise they were real and i got my tickets and they checked out
will it for everyone, i dont know budgetair 5 star
Now i went early never go 8 hours before fly time it was boring and ya 4 hours is enough now u know.
Part 2 the check in staff flight was at 810 boarding at 730 some lie about wheelchairs i didn't see 8 of them, but we got on at 8 something seats was great.
Part 3 the experience
i didn't know and no one told me that drinks cookies and pretzels were free but i was too worries about flying i didn't care but went off without a hitch and i made it.
Info u need to know
so my first time flying learned a little something i should tell everyone about because im sure you are like me, you dont have a lot of money and sometime u want to go home because 2 was enough but u can't
that was me learning if u got a steal deal on budgetair u can't change and the price goes from 171 both ways to 800 1 way that crazy that's why i dont fly they want $$$ for what but i can say that i had a blast i knew we may get on late and the flight was fine remember the price is always the dealbreaker and 171 got me one bag under the seat and a million dollars to check 1 lol
We had a flight with a single layover. The aircraft for the first flight arrived 30 minutes late. This caused us to arrive late to our connecting flight. WestJet canceled our connecting flight because “our baggage would not make it in time” and rebooked us for the following day.
They refused to pay for any accommodations or meals because they marked our first flight’s delay due to “weather.” The flight information is freely available online, and one can easily see that the flight was not delayed due to weather.
When I calmly asked to speak with a supervisor, I was sent to multiple locations in the airport. I spoke with several people but the supervisor never showed up.
All of the staff I spoke with acknowledged that the “weather” delay was incorrect, but all also said they were “powerless” to do anything about it.
I spoke with a “WestJet Guest Service Specialist” who advised me to file a “travel insurance” claim with my credit card company. It’s very upsetting that the customer service department of WestJet has a policy of advising defrauded clients to make claims on their own credit lines.
I especially worry about the elderly who are being victimized by this scheme.
I don’t practice in Canada, but in the U.S. this would be solid grounds for a class action.
After going through this we found that WestJet’s fraudulent practices are well-known in Canada. Although the flights are cheap, the potential consequences are not worth it. Don’t fly with WestJet.
