I recently traveled to Cabo San Lucas in the beginning of the month. I was meeting a bigger group of my friends so I was flying alone. Being a female flying internationally is a bit scary. When I got on my first flight in MN our plane didn’t make it off the runway. There were some maintenance issues that had to be addressed and we were all told to exit the plane. As disappointed as I was I was also grateful that the pilot put the passages safety first.
I, amongst other travelers, was concerned about being on time for our connecting flights. We were ask to go to the customer service desk and they would call us up by flights. When it was my turn I was greeted by a friendly smile and women who was very determined to help. She was so helpful and patient with me. I told her I just needed to get to my friends ASAP. I will never forget how she went above and beyond to help me feel safe and her effort to get me to my friends. I got on a plane and flew to Denver. The staff at the Denver airport working the Southwest desk were just as helpful. I ended up making it safely to my destination only 3 hours after the time I was originally supposed to be there. I will forever be grateful for Nikki from Southwest. Because of her I will always fly Southwest.
