“Southwest review”
Review of Southwest Airlines

First flight was late, however it was because of weather so that’s ok. Then the second flight that was my layover didnt leave because a pilot clocked out and we can’t find a new pilot.

I touched down in Denver at 12am excited to get my things and go home. When I got my luggage off the carousel I noticed my bag was soaking wet and smelled foul. I took it over to the people that deal with luggage claims and told them about it, thinking it was dog urine. He touched my bag smelled it and was like ‘oh yeah that’s fish’ then just looked at me??? I told him I didn’t have fish in my bag, that it was all of my clothes. He told me that they carry fish and sometimes the dry ice melts and gets on things. Then got a ‘if you wash it, it will come out. Sorry about that.’ My suit case is disgusting. My clothes on the inside are also wet with fish liquid, my car smells like it. I am furious. Good thing I’m not allergic to fish.

Their constant mistakes with no compensation ends up screwing you over. Not to mention when we do get on the flight they say that the estimated time of arrival was 9:55. It is currently 12:10 waiting in the airplane. I want to leave

I've flown Southwest three times this year. They are probably my favorite domestic airline. I like their generous baggage policy. The crew is pleasant on board. I like their change/cancellation policy. They should keep up the good work.

As recently as today; I am flying with Southwest; at the airport in Chicago headed to Durham NC. My flight time has been changed from 6:45 PM 8/26 to 6:05 PM; thank God I left early and made it through traffic somehow, only to have to run and rush because my flight time moved without my knowledge. In the Baltimore airport a cashier charged my card a couple of times for the same thing; that was not Southwest’s fault however I mentioned it for the sake of full disclosure and state of mind. Back to the return trip; after reaching the first assigned gate B24 I was notified for the first time of the reschedule. I visited a shop for a pizza, beer and baseball. After the additional hour lapsed I went back to the gate to learn of the second reschedule. I waited the time patiently and toward the scheduled time a person speaking on the loud speaker said he will be the person managing the boarding of the fight to Raleigh Durham and we will be boarding momentarily; after over 10-15 minutes he apologized and said he was assigned a trip to NY out of our current gate B24 and we would have to go to A16 to board. Upon arriving at A16 I finally decided to ask the lady working at the door to the plane to explain the delays; she was somewhat restrained in her rudeness; but at least she directed me to customer service. Thank you. Customer service was very prepared to deflect and dismiss my concerns about the delays due to my own personal schedule. She immediately cut me off to state very matter of factly if the weather causes a delay there is nothing Southwest can do about the inconvenience. I mentioned it was not raining in Chicago at the time or PGH when we left; but that was understandable until I realized on two of the previous reschedules the person over the loud speak who was at the boarding door stated a plane came in and we will be boarding when the plane is prepared. I’m not claiming to be a victim of anything; I’ll still try to find the best cost effective airline price based on what I can afford. Even if it’s Southwest; but the times won’t be the same forever. If any company can treat it’s customers like Southwest during a pandemic and super high inflation; I will stop patronizing the business at the first opportunity. This service was not worth a free bag to travel or all of the things I have experienced. If American companies follow this path of failing to deliver when our citizens need you the most; then I pray for us all.
