Only fly Qantas internally because the service is far better than the cheaper airline's and they usually run on time
Don't use them internationally or long haul because Emirates do it better, yet both airlines are in the star alliance so I still receive my rewards
I understand Qantas has been going through a re-building stage and things are getting better, and will support when flying local

Qantas has a good safety record... and that counts a lot! But you get that by buying an economy seat. So why go for Business? In the case of Qantas (and especially perhaps from Perth), the answer is "no reason whatsoever". Business lounge on the ground? Does not exist for local passengers!! Food in the air? A sandwich was the only Western option for carnivores. Some might think Neil Perry "inspired" cafe fare is on point... but if you are paying top dollar, really? Service? The crew gave an excellent impression of folk who wished to to be anywhere else. On time? Two hours delay, caused by a mechanical (the pilot lied and said it was due to a storm in Sydney the previous day -- but the plane had been sitting on the tarmac for the previous two hours busily being serviced, and then another hour in the cabin while we waited, all the time wondering how on earth Qantas could get away with charging full Business without bothering with a lounge). Toilets -- just one for the cabin, which quickly proved not enough.
I haven't flown Qantas for half a dozen years after the last experience -- but thought I would give it a go. Back to Singapore Airlines: less expensive, many times better in every regard. And yes, they are safe, too.

Very unimpressed with the flight. Initially we could not board because of the heat in the plane. Where was the air conditioning? The flight crew appeared not to be to concerned with the passengers. The food was unpalatable; dry bread rolls, overcooked meals and dessert too dry to swallow. We did not receive most of the snacks that were listed during the flight even though we were awake. The toilets were in a mess. Not a good look for Australia's premier airline.

Over the years I have been flown around Australia for work & always had the pleasure of flying Qantas. However after starting a family & a change of employers, I only recently boarded Qantas for a trip to attend a work conference. Even after a 10 year flying hiatus, I am pleased to say that Qantas have maintained their professionalism. Booking has become easier as has check in & I got to watch the latest released movies on an iPad that didn't contain cartoon figures! Hopefully my travel continues - preferably for holiday reasons & I will continue to travel with the Flying Kangaroo

Qantas is my preferred airline, and while it is sometimes more expensive to use its service, it never disappoints.

A smooth departure from Adelaide, preceded by instructions for evacuation in the event of an untoward occurrence as I was in row 13 (the Exit row). All went smoothly.

The Qantas stewards went out of their way to be friendly, which was a bonus to providing their expected good service.

Love Qantas. And love that it is ’our’ airline.
