This airline is absolutely terrible. I booked with them via booking.com and unfortunately had to cancel my flight because a family member had passed away. I got in touch with the airline, they told me it was fine and that they'd process my refund immediately if I submit certain documents. I went ahead and submitted the certificate of death as well as my certificate of birth to their support team.
Now, I have been stuck in limbo between PA's support who keep hanging up on me and are telling me it is booking's responsibility to provide the refund and booking.com telling me it is PA's responsibility to clear this case. It is impossible to get in touch with Philippine Airlines and their support is unhelpful on purpose.

I got scammed by Philippine airlines. They keep switching the hours of my flight few times and they finally figured out my flight arrival at 6:30am while my connection flight is at 6:00am. I got on the phone with costumer service which are bunch of baboons. They told me that I have to pay for my ticket again. They canceled my flight 3 times just to have me pay again. I highly suggest not to fly Philippine airlines for their scam.

I am unhappy with the process of transferring through Manila into Australia. This is the first flight ever that I would need to go into a designated area to have my checked in baggage opened for inspection. I may have not flown or transiting much, but of all the places I have been (US, Europe, South Asia and Middle East), never do I need to have my baggage inspected while only transiting! This will be my first and only time flying with Philippines airlines. Could have ground crews ready with posted signage to prep travellers coming off the first flight of impeding checked in baggage checks.

Hi, Randy. Thanks for sharing about your previous baggage experience with us. We understand how inconvenient this must have been for you, even if you are just transiting in Manila. Please note that additional baggage check-in inspection is required for all passengers bound for Australia. This additional process is set in place for everyone's safety. We seek your understanding in this regard.

Not at all recommended, they charge you for the bags without the possibility of doing an online check-in. It does not include any kilos.

Really bad decision to fly with this company.
