This was my return flight. I just reviewed PR731, my originating flight. This was an Airbus 340. It could also be an Airbus 321. In either case this is a horrible aircraft configuration. This particular flight, no individual monitors at your seat, no large monitor in the front center of the cabin, no earphones, no AV system, repeat, no audio, video, or entertainment system at all. Seat are tight. If I did not remove the crap in the seat pocket, to give an extra 1-2 inches of space, the seat would have touched my knees. PS, I do this on all flights for an extra bit of space. The seats recline ridiculous far, so much it was practically touching me. Thank God, the flight attendants made them put the seats in upright position for meal service and that took up 2 of the 3 hour flight. The meal service was acceptable for economy. The crew were all professional in a stern business like attitude. Also, this is a very popular route with many Filipinos working in Bangkok, but for the past three years, we have had the same gate 4 at NAIA in Manila. This requires us to be bussed out to the plane and then a 39 step up to the plane from the ground. I had to rate a 5, because it is the only way to get back, unfortunately one must endure the cramped and meager accommodations.
